Ease of use and reliability of information

I’d reiterate the points made in the previous review around ease of use and the type of information available.

The one thing I would query is whether the time shown to the next bus is real-time as my son has had several instances lately of heading out for the bus in line with the timings shown and it hasn’t subsequently turned up and he’s had to find home for us to take him into college. Do the timings reflect where the bus should be in it’s route not where it actually is?

Once information is reliable it would be a good idea to develop a notification app for a smart watch as my son has LD and this could support young people and users with additional needs to develop their independence.

User experience research need

While the new update is much improved in terms of functionality the user experience is jarring, even for the most technically savvy of us. Finding and favouriting a stop is a complex and unexpected user flow.

With the new functionality investment is needed in user research and user experience to make the app usable on a day to day basis. Understand what users really need and use day to day.

Also feature request: “Rate my driver” would be a great addition to pay kudos to the best drivers and feedback on drivers that fall short on the service Trent Barton strive to provide

Hi, thanks for the review, we tried to make favouriting a stop as simple as possible but the process itself is kind of complex, there are multiple ways to achieve this and the introduction of a post code/address search to find you local stops plus using the device location to show the closest 5 stops and allowing you to favourite these was our answer but I would love to hear of a simpler way, it is the most used fetaure on the app so if it can be made easier I'd love to hear your ideas. Rating a driver isn't possible unfortunately at the minute, the designer wanted this functionality with this version but when we investigated the data available we can't reliably tell who the driver is in realtime with our current systems but if this does change with the introduction of new ticket machines, it will be a likely added feature.

Never accurate. Lies just as much as the bus times on the bus stop.

This is the most pointless app to download. It doesn’t have live updates or departures. I’ve been stood at the bus stop for a whole hour and not a single bus has gone by yet on the app for the past hour it shows that 3 are due. You load it up 5 minutes later and shows 20 odd minutes. 5 minutes later there are 3 due again but non of which have actually showed up so god knows how long it’s actually going to be. The app is stupid and have never ever actually been accurate. I’ve used this bus twice everyday for the past month and a half and never had it ever been on time or the app been accurate. Might as well delete it. Always seems to be when the buses aren’t coming but are showing due that you can’t track them too.
