I’ve been using this app since pretty much it was first made, and since then there have definitely been some good improvements, though I feel there is still more that could be done. Crux of my review though, I’d definitely recommend this app if your planning and tracking your own workouts. So let’s start with the good. It’s really simple to create clear workout plans and track progress over time. When I first got this app, there was pretty much nothing as clear as it, and as far as I’m aware today, there is still nothing. For me, I’ve always known what Gym workouts I wanted to do so this was exactly what I wanted to make my plans. And now, like many apps you can also get recommended workouts.Where I’ve seen confusion over the years, is whilst workouts where added, some where equally taken away, so whilst this app has 90% of what I wanted, it’s that 10% that’s missing of well known exercises. Also, what I was sad to see go was an old feature where you could define grip orientation or bars used, replaced instead by a fuller catalogue, but not all the permutations were replaced, hence where I feel it’s missing exercises. What I’d love to see added moving forward would be better watch integration for activity burn with Apple Health. Many other apps have this and whilst it’s not an exact science, the ability to have the workout you follow have a tangible calorie burn and active minutes would be a nice touch to complete this app in my opinion. I’m normally just putting on a random Apple Watch activity type like Functional Training, which obviously has no idea what you’re actually lifting so it’s either over or under estimating, and I’m never sure which.
Great, could be amazing

This is a great app. I love the plans so far and it’s kept me motivated. Love seeing the progress in terms of what has been lifted. I feel like this is well worth the money and I love it. It could be even better though. I came from GymStreak where the exercises could be swapped out for a huge range of alternatives that targeted the same muscle groups. I don’t actually want that much choice, but in some cases it feels like there could / should be more. As someone with a back injury too, I often want to be able to avoid certain types of axial load and use machines etc instead. But as said, many times the app won’t allow you to select a machine version even though it’s in the database. Another niggle is that the suggestions of incremental weight are sometimes impossible with the equipment. A feature that could be cool is to see some sort of benchmark for the exercises too based on your physical profile. It’s great to see your progression vs where you started but it’s nice to have a target sometimes. This stuff can be found online but why not have the ultimate gym app ever?! This might just be me but I also find it confusing that it doesn’t state whether single exercises are supposed to be reps per side or total reps /2. I’ve been assuming per side.
Love this APP

I started using this app around 4 months ago in the free version. I loved it so much I bought the lifetime membership. I think it is really worth it, it is very complete. You can chose the equipment you have, chose the model you want, and my favorite part is how you can see the videos to ensure you are doing the exercise correctly. Watching the video also distracts and motivates me. There is also a written explanation and the diagram of the muscles you are working out. You can also customise the exercises to less or more sets, reps and delete or add exercises to the ones suggested to you.As a beginner to weights, I am learning a lot from this app. The only thing I would change is I think you can only chose max 3 work out days. I need to keep changing my days and I do not always work out the same 3 days of the week. Apart from that I am super happy with this app and I use it often and it keeps me motivated.
Good but could be better

I don’t usually write reviews! Actually this is my first, but I felt I had too! Firstly please don’t b sucked in by the high number of five stars, this is because the app gives u the option to award it five stars. It’s also because to b fair, it’s a good app. It’s easy to use and navigate and the pics and video tutorials are on point! However, it’s ease of use is a little disconcerting because the reason it’s easy to use is because the content is slightly limited. This is especially because if u are a typical gym goer, who would use this type of app to record and monitor your progress, then it’s very likely you’re going to the gym 4+ days per week. And then when u select a four day routine you find out it’s just a two day routine done twice you become very disappointed, especially after forking out almost £50! The meal plans I also believe need more work... are they plans or just different types of diets?? Where’s the Mass Gaining diet plan?? Where’s the meal tracker and calorie tracker? Why can’t this all be in one app?? Where’s the monitor for sizes?? Why only measure weight? Why not have a picture of a body and actual measurements and then plot the progress of say your waist or arms or whatever! It’s not good enough for the money folks. I’m sorry to say this but u guys really need to up your game and add some serious updates.
Just as you push hard in the gym, we push to enhance and fine-tune your app experience with bug fixes and performance improvements.
