We were booked on a cruise leaving from Liverpool and wanted to travel in by car. We scanned the internet and came up with “Your Parking Space “. It sounded good so we booked it. Being our first time there we had to follow the directions carefully but made it with little or no problems. Checking into the car park was exactly like a standard one, in fact that’s what it is but with facilities to store long term parked cars. It’s clean, the bays are suitably wide, well marked and lit to a daytime light level all the way through. So, car parked and off we go.On return I checked the car over for the usual likely dings you can expect in such places, totally clear of them, in fact, the car to my left was the same one I’d parked next to initially. So, time to leave, it’s as simple as the company says, you drive up to the barrier press the call button and read a 6 figures number to the attendant and off you go. If you’re wondering, we pre booked and that’s when you receive two things, firstly a reduced rate and secondly, the number to read to the attendant. If you’re parking like I did you really have to pre book for so many valid reasons, it’s a win-win for you if you do.Finally the best reason, it’s minutes walk away from the cruise terminal and also the I.O.M. Ferry terminal as well, couldn’t be better.Do I recommend this company? You bet I do, what’s not to like. Big thumbs up from me and my wife and that’s a real endorsement.

It’s an obvious point to make but the success of this is very dependent on the space-owners. Each booking brings up a friendly green button labelled ‘directions’ and another one labelled ‘call owner’ in case of difficulties. For my booking, the ‘directions’ were inaccurate and although the owner had provided a clearer description of how to find it elsewhere in the app, I had to hunt for this later. The ‘call owner’ button just led to 3 unanswered phone calls and there doesn’t seem to be any way for owners to get in touch if they miss your call. So I paid almost £15 for a space I never got to use, as well as having to find and pay for another space. In other words the app setup needs a bit of tweaking. It also can’t save your from rip-offs, however well set up: turns out the local paid parking was less than half what I was charged by the private’s space’s owner through this app!

Hi there Purdieboots,Many thanks for taking the time to leave this feedback.We fully appreciate that on this occasion, the Space Owner remained unresponsive which didn't help with your reported concerns.As you have mentioned, the post-booking instructions are displayed immediately on screen at the time of booking and can be found at any time through the app, website or email when locating and accessing a booked space.Although it shouldn't be necessary to get in touch with the Space Owner, we do expect Space Owners to remain available for their drivers so this occasion is rather disappointing.To clarify; the parking instructions and pricing are set by the Space Owner so while YourParkingSpace is able to offer immediate support (as well as refunds and alternative parking) through WhatsApp or the contact form, the value proposition of private off-road/driveway/gated/secure parking is for the driver to decide.We look forward to having the chance to park you up again as we're sure it'll be nothing but perfect parking and smooth sailing.Kind regards,Josh @ YPS

Moved over from JustPark as I thought YPS were a better option. Booked a space near Heathrow for a 1.5 weeks, in advance which was walking distance to the train station and cheap (since in advance) so hence a popular spot. Only a week from my booking with all my holiday sorted, YourParkingSpace email me to cancel my booking because they’ve allowed someone to book over the whole month - they told me this in the email. They give priority to that because they get more money, so anyone who has cheaper or less lucrative bookings will just get bumped and have theirs cancelled when someone better comes along. To make it worse, rather than offering me a nearby space for the same price, they gave me a measly 20% off voucher. The spaces the same distance are now 3 times the price I originally paid(£165 vs £55).Really disappointing behaviour and not the kind of company you want to deal with when you’ve got a whole holiday to worry about and think you’ve at least got your parking sorted in advance.

Beware non-optional optional charges

The app works well and the range of spaces is impressive. I use it a couple of times a week when working in London. However, the app has recently started doing some dodgy Ryanair-style price loading:- It gives you a price (let’s say £10) and you accept it and click through. - On the next screen, your price has miraculously inflated to include an extra 10% for enhanced cancellation insurance. You can deselect this, but you have to scroll down beyond the default view to see it. - Even if you detect that, what you’re actually charged is then inflated by 60p for three “optional” text notifications. There is no way to deselect these before buying. - Once you’ve bought, you have to access your booking to request a refund of the optional charges. However, you can only cancel two of the three add-ins because the “optional” booking confirmation SMS has already been sent when you hit “pay”. On the basis that it a business pays around 0.02 pence for a bundled SMS, and assuming they get about 10,000 bookings a day, that would mean an extra £750k profit for doing absolutely nothing giving people charges they don’t want and have no way of declining…. Not great behaviour.
