Previously I gave this app one star as it didn't allow you to log in if your name contained special characters, like apostrophes if you have an Irish name. But the developer fixed it the next day and contacted me to apologise. Now I can get in fine and the app works well. Thanks to the developers for this. I've never had that kind of quick effective response so I was impressed.Besides that, the app is good. The layout is different to the website but appears to contain all the same useful info and ability to buy stuff once you get used to it. Plus it is much easier to buy instant-use vouchers for purchases on the go. I'd recommend it to anyone who uses the Rewards Gateway website.So, I've gone from being frustrated and disappointed to being a happy customer. Thanks again to the developers for the super fast response.

Update - previous issue has has gone away soI’m back to enjoying savings. Give yourself a pay rise by paying with discounted gift cards. There’s no point in parting with more money than you need to. Releasable cards make regular purchases (groceries/coffee) cheaper. Older reviewGreat for finding savings and topping up gift cards. But the most recent update has broken the link to my existing gift cards. I can’t find some of them and any nicknames (wife’s card, my card, etc) no longer show if I try to do a top up. Would be 5 stars but currently 3 while it’s sub optimal.

This was a great app provided by my work. I used it so much but since its name change to Engage, it’s now painfully slow and just too much hassle/inconvenience. When buying instant vouchers for in store purchases it takes so long for it to show in app, that you basically can’t use the app at all to redeem once purchased. The workaround of going into your email and loading, going through all the robot checks, getting your voucher, etc means it’s a 5 minute job each time. For day to day spending it means it’s just not worth it. Furthermore, I had a reloadable instant vouchers for Tesco and Sainsbury’s. You’d just top them up in-app and the same voucher on your Apple wallet would update. Now it’s adding a new voucher every time (again, which won’t load, have to go through email etc). I really hope the developers are quick to return this to its former usability. This is a worse user experience than when it was smart rewards.

The service does a good job of drawing together benefits in a way that can be categorised and searched, but the app seems quite unreliable:- loading cards with money can be unreliable when you on the go and reliant on the app - even hen I have a good signal and good internet connectivity for other apps. You can work around this by preloading the cards but this requires you to anticipate how much you are going to spend, or maintain balances on your cards, which many users will not be able to afford to do - the app often crashes and dumps you back at the home page, particularly if you switch to the app after waking up your phone - some of these cards can be stored in the Apple wallet but you have to search around for instructions on how to do this - would be good to be able to do it from the app- I had a problem where the app miscounted the number of purchases I had made in a day (I’d completed 4 not 5) because it repeatedly failed to complete one transaction All of these things are wrinkles, and generally low stake inconveniences given the size of the discounts, but will likely influence whether I make heavier use of the benefits in the long run
