Have you been experiencing issues with commenting? Keep getting that “Oops” error when trying to post or even read comments? Yeah, that one, a pain in the neck right?

Well, we have managed to squash that nasty bug for the majority of cases, Just remember you need a display name to be able to post a comment, you can check if you have one by going to the My Account tab, and tapping “My Details”.

Poor effort

This Express app is really awkward to use and frequently fails to respond properly. Navigation is erratic: Pages often jump to different parts of an article for no reason, so you then need to scroll back to where you were reading - again and again. Images sometimes fail to load. In-article links to other news stories usually don’t work. It’s easier to use a separate browsing app and visit the Express website, rather than tolerate this **** app.

The perfect tonic

I downloaded the Express app along with other newspaper apps (including Guardian and Mirror) for the election as I wanted to see what the various papers were saying. Not only was the Express app hugely entertaining with its short articles, but it was updated constantly and was actually pretty much bang on when it came to the sentiment of the country in the run up to the election. It was the perfect tonic! It now ranks alongside Sky and the Telegraph in my perusing for news, in fact I find it is irresistible! Well done to the Express team, and thank you. The only downer is the adverts before any video, but they only last a few seconds and why should anything as good as this be for free?

Comments section on the Express

Articles and content are generally very good but the Comments Section is poorly designed and annoying to use, therefore I have stopped using it since it was changed. I would rate the design and use of the Comments Section as no more than 1 out of 10. Because of this the Mail Online has become my preferred news outlet, for which I would grade their comments section 10/10. You need to get your act together Express and sort out your lousy comments section. We want to see numbers of upvotes and downvotes at a glance and the location of those commenting. Get the Mail Online team to sort it for you if you don't know how!
