What’s New

Version 7.1.3

This release is all the boring stuff you don’t care about… architecture changes, platform changes, bug fixes… all very exciting for a developer, but for us mere mortals, all a bit meh! Fear not, we have some big changes in the pipeline, so stay tuned, the next one should be far more fun for us normal folk!

Poor effort

This Express app is really awkward to use and frequently fails to respond properly. Navigation is erratic: Pages often jump to different parts of an article for no reason, so you then need to scroll back to where you were reading - again and again. Images sometimes fail to load. In-article links to other news stories usually don’t work. It’s easier to use a separate browsing app and visit the Express website, rather than tolerate this **** app.

The perfect tonic

I downloaded the Express app along with other newspaper apps (including Guardian and Mirror) for the election as I wanted to see what the various papers were saying. Not only was the Express app hugely entertaining with its short articles, but it was updated constantly and was actually pretty much bang on when it came to the sentiment of the country in the run up to the election. It was the perfect tonic! It now ranks alongside Sky and the Telegraph in my perusing for news, in fact I find it is irresistible! Well done to the Express team, and thank you. The only downer is the adverts before any video, but they only last a few seconds and why should anything as good as this be for free?

Fed up

Since the last update I’m constantly having to sign in and it’s frankly annoying, when comments get blocked their is NO reason and no consistency, I’ve dropped every day words when re-submitting which is a pathetic thing, when commenting on an arrival about Hitler my comment was blocked when I said hitler - reposted without Hitler and lol it posted … it’s beyond stupid … since the mirror group took over the DE is now just another WOKE paper … and why online can’t I see when somebody has replied especially if say 500 comments and mine is at the start … you are losing readers because frankly it’s becoming a joke site with amateurs writing without fact checking
