It seems like a good idea I wasn't sure about this app as there is no way to transfer activites without paying for a SwagBag. So after buying the 3 months options and trying the transfer from Garmin Connect to Apple Health. Lots of the activites had wrong details and some were bunched together in one. However after contacting the app support and getting a prompt response I was advised to checked the activites on Garmin Connect and found lots of them had errors. So cleaned up Garmin Connect and run the import to Rungap again and all worked without a problem. All GC activites are now in Apple Health. The 3 month Swag Bag is great value if you are just looking to transfer only a few times between the various fitness apps it supports. This is a great app and the support was very good so I highly recommend this app.
Fantastic for synchronising workout data and great support

I use a combination of Apple Watch, Garmin, Wahoo and Wattbike devices to collect workout data. The synchronisation features of the various apps to get data into Strava and Apple Health are broken in subtly different ways. There are so many moving parts that it is difficult to understand how to get accurate data to flow between them properly. RunGap to the rescue! The support I received from the developer was outstanding. I now have reliable data synchronisation between all my apps. You need to buy the ‘Swag Bag’ in-App purchase to do it, but that is great value IMO.
Too expensive now for occasional use.

I was an occasional user to import a cropped workout from Strava back to Apple Health because I forgot to stop recording, maybe a couple of times per year.I know developing software is expensive, I get it. But for the amount of value I get out of this app, for me personally, £15 per year is 3-5x more than what I’d be willing to keep paying, with no option for a lifetime purchase. I’ll be looking for alternative approaches now instead. If you’re someone who uses this as an important regular part of their fitness workflow then maybe it would be worth the money, but unfortunately that’s not me. And it’s not like the app has changed significantly since I started using it 15 months ago, but the yearly price has increased 50%.
Perfection

After ditching Runkeeper because I’d noticed it was randomly not syncing GPS data into Apple Health, I was going to write my own Runkeeper to Apple Health synchroniser to make sure all of my activities locked away in Runkeeper weren’t orphaned. Turns out RunGap already does it and it works perfectly. Not only can I synchronise activities from before the invention of Apple Health, but all of the activities with missing GPS data can be synchronised across. I’ve deleted all Runkeeper activities from Apple Health and replaced them all with RunGap activities.
- Yet another adidas Running fix.
