Honestly, I can’t stop talking about this app, it has revolutionised meal times and shopping in our household from creation of a meal plan that we look forward to that translates itself into a shopping list for us to review so we don’t over purchase which then transfers itself to our Tesco’s basket has taken a stressful hours long process down to an enjoyable few minutes. Huge thank you to Gabriel and the team for creating such an excellent app. We’ve already subscribed following the free trial and look forward to any updates.
So close to being perfect

With us shopping at Tesco, the ability to be able select meals and then auto load the ingredients into your basket seemed like a game changer at first. It’s efficient, saves time, and also seemed to save us a bit of money. However, the ONLY reason we didn’t renew our free trial was the lack of variety. I don’t mean the initial variety of meals, as there’s over 100 to choose from. I mean more when you get to your second and third week etc, it’s just the same meal suggestions over and over. The way this app could go to the next level - and get people like myself to fully sign up - would be to alternate the recipes weekly, similar to how HelloFresh and Gusto do. Do that, and it’s literally the perfect shopping assistant app. Happy to be corrected if this is already a feature and I’m just not using it properly, but from what I can gather it is just pre set options for each different criteria you select.
Great idea but not great for sharing

I really like this app and how easy it makes planning my meals for the week. I’m not super impressed by the recipes but I’m going to try the import recipes function and see how that works. My main issue is the problems I’ve had sharing the plans and recipes with my partner. Maybe I don’t understand how it works but from what I can see you can get a link that doesn’t work- and even if it did work my partner would also have to pay the subscription. We won’t pay for 2 subscriptions but I will keep this app for now as it shows a lot of promise. You really should look into how to make this app more user friendly for a household though.
A life changing app.

Mealia is so good, and I don’t really know where to start with this review. From the integration with your shopping basket (ASDA and Tesco as I write this) to the simple and easily prepared meals, Mealia has made such a difference to my life. There is an ability to set a weekly budget, and also let the app know how many people you are cooking for, amongst many other options. Honestly, try it. As I briefly mentioned, it integrates with your shopping basket and adds everything that you need. If you’re having your shopping delivered, this is simplicity itself.
