Promising the Sabotage touch in every system, Sea of Stars aims to modernize the classic RPG formula in terms of turn-based combat, storytelling, exploration and interactions with the environment, while still offering a hearty slice of nostalgia and good old, simple fun.
It tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.
Traverse seamlessly through the world with a navigation system that breaks free from the classic bound-to-the-grid tileset movement and fight enemies in an immersive take on the genre; no random encounters, no transitions to separate battlefields, and no grinding.
FEATURES
- Engaging turn-based combat: Along with timed hits, combat features combo attacks, boosting, and a strategic "locks" system, all in an immersive take on the genre; no random encounters, no transitions to separate battlefields, and no grinding.
- Full-on dynamic lighting: Our custom-made render pipeline allows the creation of a breathtaking world coming to life by pushing the limits of 2D pixel-art games.
- A story-rich adventure: Sometimes epic, sometimes silly, and other times emotional, Sea of Stars does its RPG duty of exploring classic themes of adventure and friendship, while also being chock-full of the unexpected twists and events you’d expect from a Sabotage production.
- A world you can touch: Sailing, cooking, fishing, stopping by a tavern to listen to a song or play the infamous tabletop game known as "Wheels"... every system has been designed to deliver an experience that pays respect to retro classics, while rethinking in some areas to offer a smooth and modernized experience.

"iPhone Xr, iPhone SE (2nd Gen, 2020)
iPad Mini (5th Gen), iPad Air (3rd Gen), iPad (8th & 9th Gen)"
For the best experience, we do not recommend playing on these models.
Great effort, I’ve been waiting for this game to come to iPad! Playing a second time now and its just as much of a joy. Some early bugs but they’ve been patched, nothing game breaking for me, great experience. The touch controls are decent, can be a little annoying at times especially with movement but its a minor gripe… nothing beats a controller. Great adaptation and loving the excuse to replay it :)

Visual and control

There should be more control system , the current one is not my favourite, Stardew valley and terraria allow different type of control, Stardew touch based control is my favourite. The blue barriers is quite bright and really distracting in darker scene, it can contrast with warmer scenes. This makes viewing the art not fully immersive. I feel like simply the border black will be better. The screen not being full in my iPad is quite annoying. And the setting being in the art is taking up screen, putting it on the empty area would be better, the should be an option to make the setting three dash circle smaller or move it up entirely. There should be option to zoom in and out of the screen though not necessarily

An honest joy

This game has swept me up - the gameplay is varied, tactical and interesting, the story well thought out and genuinely twisty and captivating, the visuals charming and the characters relatable. The developers have done an amazing job and are fast to fix bugs too. Top marks, I’m enchanted.

Just keeps resetting progress
RainIsReal
There doesn’t seem to be reliable, frequent (or even any?) autosave. If you have to close the app to do something (you know, because it’s a phone) you lose your progress. Then you have to sit for like 20 logos every time it launches too. Maybe that was fine on PlayStation, but it’s like they made no effort to make it fit a phone. I was really looking forward to playing this, but it just doesn’t work well as a phone game right now. Hopefully they’ll add proper autosave and make things more snappy soon, and then it’ll be a great game.
