My issue in my new Kia Sorento 4 HEV is the intermittent BATTERY FAILURE SIGNS. DOES ANYONE HAVE SUCH ISSUES? The app is not picking this up. However, I’ve found the Kia App to be incredibly reliable and it truly does everything it claims to do. While on holiday in East Africa, I realized I’d left the driver’s side window open rushing to get into a waiting taxi to the airport. Although the app had already sent a notification within minutes, it was I who didn’t notice it. It had done what it had to do and warned me almost within the time frame it takes. However, when I checked the vehicle status. I was able to close the window remotely through the app from Zanzibar to here in UK and confirm it via my CCTV, which gave me huge peace of mind. The app also warns me if the car is left unlocked, and after testing all its other features, I’m fully satisfied. Without it, I would have been constantly worried about security or potential insurance issues while away on holidays. Luckily, the car was at my son’s gated property with security, but the app provided that essential extra layer of control. How wonderful. I would recommend to anyone who has any issues with the app to contact KIA or nearby dealers for assistance. It’s marvellous to have it.

Much worse than the Kia Connect app
MattGS
This app has introduced a lot more complexity than the previous one and is much more difficult to do some of the most basic things, such as checking that the doors are locked. It was right there on the Home Screen of the previous app, now you have to go through different pages, menus and tabs just to see the vehicle status. Also, as I use my app to manage 2 vehicles, the ability to switch between them was far easier on the old app - there was a “switch” symbol at the top, where you could just select the vehicle you want to control, now it’s multiple menus and having to change the “main vehicle” each time. It’s almost like you’re discouraging us from owning more than one Kia!!A couple of times I’ve been logged out of the app for no apparent reason. When I log back in, I get all the help pop-ups again before I can do the thing I wanted to do, which is very annoying!I’m very well versed in using and navigating many apps and I find this one unwieldy and not at all intuitive. If I’m struggling with it, how will other people who don’t use apps regularly find this when they make the decision to get their first EV and consider Kia? One of the main reasons I didn’t go for a VW EV was because the reviews of the app and remote functionality was so bad. Remember, this isn’t just about the car, it’s about the technology - get this bit wrong and there’s a bunch of Chinese manufacturers looking to pick up your customers.

We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience. Although the logout issue was addressed before, we’ve confirmed that it has recurred. The relevant team is actively addressing it again. We understand your frustration and sincerely apologise. We’ll do our utmost to resolve this.
An improvement on the previous two apps, BUT…

As mentioned by previous reviewers, I agree that this is an improvement on the two apps that were available before. However, I find it strange that there is no facility to choose between kilometres and miles on this app. I use miles on my car and know the miles per kilowatt usage on my EV3; the km figures on this app therefore mean nothing to me. Also, I liked the use of colour on the previous app to easily indicate that my car was charging; it is now less obvious to see this and takes a little more searching to check this status. Kia, please introduce miles and colour for perfection IMHO on this app!

We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Distance units can be set via the My Page (profile icon) > Settings > Distance. When charging is in progress, the charging type and estimated time to reach the target level can be viewed via Control > EV. Your feedback will be shared with the relevant team for future improvement. Thank you for your valuable input.
Great app

WISH instead of smart climate. And full on climate buttons could we have two buttons where we get to set two (or 3) retained settings. Some times if it’s a hot day I might want 19 degrees. But in the morning I might want 22, heated seats etc. to my liking. And ability to set a name. The current buttons seem overly clever but practically useless. So called Smart = Seems full on everything. So I have to edit the settings twice a day to remotely activate manually. They could be pre programmed to be similar to now, probably vary per country.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We understand your concern that the current climate control setup lacks flexible, personalized presets for different comfort preferences throughout the day. Your feedback is valuable and will be shared with the relevant team for further review and improvement.
