I’ve had this app downloaded for years, but have never really used it as it was subscription only (and I begrudge paying for apps - who doesn’t want something for free!?). During mine and my partners furlough from work in April (due to COVID), we were wanting to start regular yoga practice, and I opened this app to see that they had made it completely free until the 1st May, so we decided to give it a go - and it’s AMAZING! I have practiced yoga on and off for years with various teachers but my partner is completely new to it, and we both absolutely loved it using this app! It’s so easy to tailor to exactly what you want, without having to follow a teacher/feel self-conscious in a class full of people. All poses are explained incredibly well, and the sessions also account for different levels of ability, and give you constant encouragement and guidance around how to make poses a little harder if you want to stretch yourself. I knew after the 1st May I would subscribe to this app so that I could continue using it, and at £60 for a year subscription (plus subscription to all of their other apps too - which I have downloaded but am yet to try!) it works out A LOT cheaper than the yoga practices I’ve been to before, and you can practice as often as you’d like! Absolutely brilliant app, the best yoga app I’ve found so far, and was great to see them making the apps free temporarily given that gyms/yoga practices had had to close due to the COVID epidemic. Thank you for this app!

My difficulty over the years has been finding any sort of exercise that appeals to me, I can do but have room to progress and develop, and keeps me interested. I've toyed with yoga on and off over those years, as I have zero inclination to go to classes, and finding an app that fit the bill was a chore. I've tried many different ones, and the experience always started well, but there was always something that eventually made me lose interest: being too difficult; only having a set number of routines that repeated over and over; the level of instruction, difficulty, and progression. I found this app by chance a couple of months ago, and I am in love. The free version which I'm using gives plenty of variety; I might decide to upgrade one day, but I'm happy as I am right now, and I think that's ideal for beginners - being able to practice and learn without having to commit to paying. I love the flexibility of options for a session, and, as others have said, even when you chose the same parameters over and over, it still provides a varied routine. For example, I usually go for a 10 min Restorative routine in the evenings, and every time, there's at least one pose I've not done before. I'm still in the Beginner level and can really feel the changes in my body - maybe this is the app to finally help me progress further! Even if I stay a beginner for the rest of my life though, I know this app will keep me interested and practising yoga 🙏🏻

I’ve always wanted to be fitter, but have little inclination to work myself to exhaustion. And finding the time away from home is difficult, and buying decent home equipment expensive and requires loads of storage.I was recommended to do yoga by a physiotherapist who was trying to address years (and years) of damage I had done to my body because of bad posture. I thought it was a stupid idea, I had this image of yoga just being about spiritualism and meditation. But I gave it a shot and I am a convert!I fee more mindful, my fitness has increased and at the end of a session I have this weird mix of having had a meaningful workout but also heightened relaxation. And yes, my years of back pain have all but vanished only after a month of yoga!!This app is perfect. It guides you in gently with the tutorial programmes and then lets you increase intensity, difficulty and session time at your own pace. You can choose how much detail is given for each pose, so it’s perfect for beginners and experts alike. My only criticism is that you can’t adjust music volume separate to the voice so sometimes I can’t hear the instructions very well because the music is too loud. And I’m not looking at the screen half the time because the poses don’t allow it!!

It was inevitable that one day someone would finally get it right and design the perfect Yoga app and here it is at last.I am a Yoga teacher but i regularly use this for my personal practice. It is a perfectly tailored, curated practice every time, with the opportunity to choose the style of Yoga, the intensity of the practice, the speed, the pause for breath and to hold poses, the detail & frequency of cues - it is like designing the exact teacher and class you want each time you arrive on the mat.The choice of music or background sounds is also excellent - I even came across some of the tracks I use in my own classes.I started with the free trial that was a very generous length of time however within a week of using the app I knew I would be subscribing. Not long after I received a special offer that gave a 33% discount making the Year´s subscription fantastic value at less than 30 euros and you have access to the meditation app (also excellent) plus the other apps in the Down Dog family.I couldńt be more impressed with this app, and will be recommending it to all my students and Yoga retreat attendees to help them maintain a regular practice at home.
