4. Find my car

You can also back up your vehicle settings in the Kia Connect app and apply it to your car, as well as store your favorite addresses and send it to your car from the app.

8. Valet Parking Mode (currently only available on selected models):

App Not fit for purpose, not updated frequently enough.

I bought a new EV6 in September of this year, despite of reporting technical issues with the app nothing has been amended or updated to fix any of the issues.

I have an EV tarrif for my car with off peak charging, and even when I change the times before plugging in the car it still charges and has to be reset every time it won’t retain my setting for off peak charging. It won’t retain my timing for car to be ready daily.

Trying to adjust the schedule for charging is not as easy as it should be. And the app and internal car settings do not work together. I find it very frustrating that I am constantly having to check the settings, they should be remembered as pre selected settings. This is not something I should have to fix several times each day.

I don’t think that the app is updated with bug fixes enough. I pay enough each month for my car. Get it fixed!

Just passable if you don’t change settings

I was expecting more from this app and certainly better integration and more frequent updates to the app to fix bugs.
I found it incredibly frustrating when using the remote climate settings to discover that it made my car unresponsive. If these functions aren’t reliable then there needs to be a warning and recovery options. Hence I am reluctant to use any remote functions in case the vehicle enters zombie mode, requiring a reset.
I have found though that the app does connect most of the time to the car and car reliably read the status of the vehicle so I can tell if it is charging or fully charged. It’s not 100% reliable so I wouldn’t fully rely on it to tell me my doors are definitely locked but otherwise it’s passable.

Does what it says

Just got my new Sportage PHEV (finally) and having read reviews wasn’t expecting much from Kia Connect app. To start with, having connected car to it nothing much seemed to happen. But went into app again and all features had appeared.
Works seamlessly and sends messages when I’ve forgotten to lock car, charging status and so on.
Can’t complain about it at all. Last major update fixed a lot of issues customers were having.
Can only speak as I find. My last two cars we’re Mitsubishis and their app was seriously useless.
