MG iSMART Europe 4+

When it works it’s a decent app, but it is glitchy far too often. With newer versions it defaults to alerting me every time the car turns on, despite me turning this feature off daily. Sometimes this is delayed, so I get alerts whilst I’m half way through my journey or even when I’m parked up, causing a fright. It crashes out a lot and fails to update or refresh, so I can’t check remotely if the car is finished charging, or start / end charging or turn on the AC. It logs me out pretty much daily too, so I have to waste time re-logging in daily. Asks me to bind to the car again regularly. Really frustrating as being able to turn charging on / off remotely is one of the main perks of having this vehicle so it’s very poor this is often an inaccessible feature.

The app is great when it works, but too often it fails. It’s told me my interior car temperature is 87C more than once & even changed language to French. I’ve only used the remote to warm car once, every other time it says just remote control failed. It consistently tells me I haven’t approved my privacy terms followed seconds later by a message that I have, without me doing anything - please fix it could be great or doesn’t it like iPhones?

It”s not too bad, but MG is slow to improve simple issues and updates/bug fixed are few and far betweeen. Once the launch a bug fix, other frustrating issues seem to creep in. For example, in the latest bug fix, it appears that the ability to choose bewteen miles and km has disappeared. This means when you log in and out of the app ( for example when my partner uses the car with her phone etc) it reverts back to km - but now its stuck there as I havent got an option to change it back. Ive no idea how far places are or distance I have left to travel with battery, as no one in the UK prefers km over miles really let’s face it
