Battery Pack Heating System Failure

Why is it so difficult to get this app to work consistently? Latest version (2.0.3) still has the above error as well as needing lots of messing about to try to get the EV management status screen to update the battery percentage.

Another freezing cold morning, when preheating the battery before travelling might be a good idea? Can I get the app the do this? Of course not! If I can get the app to acknowledge what the current state of charge is, having refreshed various screens several times, I cannot get the seemingly simple option of Battery Heating to work. Even trying to schedule the battery heating option, supposedly successfully, does not work.

Thanks MG software development, you’ve made me incredibly frustrated!

Get this sorted asap .. useless , update again

Mg have updated the app again last night . Today I do not have the battery management option for my mg5 ev ! It’s now showing I have a fuel tank instead of battery management. It’s just a joke isn’t it how can they keep getting this so wrong . I now can’t charge my car from my app , stop charge or even see my battery charging as this functionality has now disappeared from the app and been replaced with fuel tank . I have contacted mg 7 times today via phone call and via email and they said which I beg to differ they have not heard of the issue of fuel tank replacing battery management for the EV on the app ! Well on the forum online u suggest you read through it . Over 147 people have the same issue today . Get it sorted so we can have the battery function instead of fuel tank showing in the app . It’s a crucial feature on the app when charging from public chargers so we can see the state of charge . All was working well until they did the update yesterday 15th January.

No issues?

I’m writing this review to convey that my experience with the app so far, has been fine. I find the projected range can be a trifle pessimistic which personally I prefer and occasionally I have to log back in with my password etc but otherwise it works seamlessly with my iPhone 12 Max. It’s worth checking the battery status page to make sure it’s on ‘Long Range Mode’ when adjusting for a longer journey as otherwise the app seems to default to ‘Health’ mode (80% charge) for the battery - this caught me out a few times when planning a longer journey. I’ve marked down a star due to concerns regarding confidentiality but guess that’s the world we live in today…? Hope this might prove useful…x
