Reasonable but some bugs

Reasonable app for viewing status of my Nissan Qashqai J12. Allows me to easily see the lock status, unlock/lock remotely and flash the lights/sound the horn to assist finding the car (although the map showing the cars location assists with this). It would be better if the map showing the car could be switched to satellite view as it would make it much easier to identify nearby points in the map to help identify the exact location.

The driving history seems to have a bug where it shows double the amount of trips. The mileage and time driven are accurate though.

Overall it isn’t an app I’ll use very often as the features are very limited. The only remotely useful feature is the remote lock/unlock (pun intended) just in case I’ve gone somewhere and am not sure if I remembered locking the car. This is only free for 3 years though so unless it’s very cheap it isn’t something it be too fussed about losing after 3 years.

Poor

I’ve struggled to get this app to work but think I may have found a partial way. Here’s my experience: It took many goes to get registered etc. I put this down to poor capacity at Nissans servers - perhaps exacerbated by UK Coronavirus lockdown. Who knows. Anyway, once registered, over a period of 3 days trying the app every couple of hours I only managed to ‘get on’ and get vehicle info - once!! I completely closed the app on my iPhone after each use. However today I opened the app around 9am. Surprise, surprise it fully worked. I then retried the app every hour this morning - without closing it - just keeping it in the background of my iPhone. It worked each time, refreshed and gave accurate info (I checked in the vehicle, a 2020 Leaf). Trust this is helpful to others. But to Nissan I say: “Get your act together and develop an app that works the way your web advertising and info say it will. Many of us have spent big money buying your Leafs - often influenced by that advertising. Or should we customers raise this with the Advertising Standards Agency? Given other comments in the public arena about your app (all poor) this is not a new problem! Please sort it.

Nice link with Nissan Qashqai

A nice easy app to use and check the status of your car from your armchair.
Having switched from a car that locked automatically as you walked away from it, the app is now useful to check whether the car is locked without having to run outside. (Although, tbh I would prefer to have auto locking!). Some other nice touches like curfews (so you can see if the car is driven (eg stolen) in unsociable hours and when, a gps locator is handy too and the light flash/horn beep for those times when you just can’t remember where you left the car! As a hybrid a precondition/ windscreen clear option would be a nice touch from the app (perhaps with a warning of battery power is insufficient) - overall though, really impressed with our new Nissan Qashqai and it’s various bells and whistles.
