The Land Rover Remote App keeps you in touch with your Land Rover when you’re not in your vehicle, delivering greater control than ever before over security and comfort settings.
The App’s enhanced features, improved functionality and intuitive interface affords peace of mind, more efficient journey planning and greater well-being for you and your passengers.
Use the App to remotely:
- Prepare for a trip by checking fuel range and dashboard alerts
- Locate your vehicle on a map and get walking directions to it
- Check if doors or windows are open
- View journey information
- In the event of a breakdown, request Optimised Land Rover Assistance
- Plan future journeys and sync with your vehicle*
- Connect your favourite music and lifestyle applications to your InControl account for use in vehicle.*
For vehicles with InControl Remote Premium, the following additional features are available:
- Check on your vehicle security status and lock/unlock your vehicle if required
- Cool or heat your vehicle to the desired temperature prior to your journey*
- Locate your vehicle in a crowded car park with ‘beep and flash’ functionality.

Download the Land Rover InControl Remote App and then login using your Land Rover InControl username and password to connect to your vehicle. This App requires subscription to one of the following packages fitted to the vehicle:
- InControl Protect
- InControl Remote
- InControl Remote Premium.

Land Rover Remote.
Land Rover remote has hidden advantages that become extras on many other models.
The obvious advantages are that, if you e forgot to close windows, doors etc, it will tell you, and indeed you can lock and alarm your car remotely.
In many models, you have an independent programming system to control climate within the car before sitting in the seat. Although you cannot preprogram the system to operate on a day or weekly basis, you can it it up ready for your run on the day.
Another advantage of the system is that, if your car is stolen, albeit you will not be able to track in real time, it will give a start and end route, so when the vehicle arrives at a clandestine location, you will be able to trace it.
All in all, a great system.
Highly convenient
Love this app. Enables me to unlock the car if haven’t got the key handy, or unlock from a distance to allow someone else entry if I’m not nearby. Best of all, start the engine to defrost the car whilst doors are still locked - I love how you can also set the temperature, which I couldn’t previously do with my volvo app.
As well as these functions which I mainly use, it’s got a lot of other useful features and information.
Great app and highly recommend.
The one thing that would be useful is to be able to double lock from the app.
Helpful app
I use the app a lot, it’s stable and performs well. Great for checking issues with car, downloading mileage for company expenses, or simply checking and locking the car if I’ve forgotten to or changed my mind about what I’m doing.
The app is pretty stock though - it could do with some more functionality. For example remote heating/cooling the car is a really helpful exiting capability. However, in the UK winter, heating options are lacking beyond turning on the engine, and a stationary car takes a long time to heat at engine idle. The ability to turn on heated windows/seats/steering wheel would be more effective and efficient - please sort this Landrover. Likewise ability to approve and install software updates.
