Libratone 4+

Libratone spend more time misadvertising their Alexa integration and squeezing out Version 2 of their products than making sure their existing products actually work.

Every time I open this godforsaken app the speakers connect and disconnect, then don’t connect at all, then the app needs rebooting, then the volumes are auto set to zero, then it crashes again...it just goes on and on.

Libratone are proving to be low quality products wrapped up in pretentious marketing and Apple-like product roadmaps. If you’re just a pipsqueak GET YOUR PRODUCTS WORKING BEFORE YOU STRUT AROUND THE PLACE LIKE THE BIG TECH GIANT.

UPDATE: I still love my mini zipp - it was my speaker that had developed a fault. Libratone Customer Service could not have been more helpful and prompt at sorting things out. Have amended my review to reflect my usual view of Libratone, their speaker and the app.

I love my mini zipp, but since the latest update I have been unable to use it trouble free. It suddenly stops playing, be it USB input, internet radio, or playing from my iPad. Each time it fails you have to turn it off and boot it up again. It’s getting a little tiresome - I hope Libratone investigates and fixes this glitch soon!
Aargh! An update was issued just after I posted the above review - but sadly after updating still no improvement. Note: the issue is not my internet connection as that is very good. Please Libratone fix these issues quickly!

I rarely take the time to review an App unless it is either superb and I can’t praise it enough, or, as in this case, it is terrible, and every “update” does nothing to improve the experience.
I’ve had a Pair of Libratone speakers for 2yrs now. The Speakers themselves are fine - but lose all decent functionality without the app. The app regularly can’t find them on the network, and restarting the app, or rebooting the phone doesn’t always fix the issue.
Other issues are the number of steps required to simply change a speaker setting or even adjust volume (if the speaker is in a soundspace group)
Losing Airplay connection, no way to reset AirPlay password if it’s forgotten, just to name a few things.
Terrible experience and one that appears to be universal based on number of 1 star reviews. Very unhappy with the speaker purchase - wish I had checked these reviews BEFORE buying the speakers!!!
