Great customer support
I love this app. I’ve been using Mettle for about a year, and it makes it so easy to manage my business finances.
I generally don’t have much time for business admin, and I find the UK tax system quite frustrating. But this app makes it nice and easy to manage my money. I like being able to raise invoices, and have helpful reminders when they’re due – this has helped me to move away from clunky spreadsheets.
One thing that really stood-out to me was how easy it was to get started. Other banks that I’d spoken to about setting up an account, told me it could take up to 5 weeks. When I initially signed up for Mettle, I think I was up and running the same day. No messing around.
Also, the customer support people are really helpful, and they’re quick to respond. A few months ago I had a question about transferring money into my pension fund, and Nicola went out of her way to guide me through setting everything up correctly.
Dual beneficial owner
I’ve been using Mettle for a while now to help run my food business and it’s an absolute life saver!
I struggled to find another digital-first bank that would let me sign up as my limited company has two beneficial owners. I onboarded with Mettle in minutes and haven’t looked back since.
I love the ability to add my expenses to transactions - it makes book keeping that much easier 😊
Waste of time
Complete waste of time. I had to withdraw the application. The were asking the same questions I was already answered when applied. It’s not rocket since. I’m an IT contractor who was working with an ltd company and now changing to sole trader due to IR35 rules. You wouldn’t like that I’m not gonna get paid in cash. Why should I ? IT contractor is not convenient store, it’s obviously an IT professional working for a company as contractor and not PAYE. It took me 5 min to open a business account for my Ltd with hsbc. I hoped to save some time by applying online through NatWest’s fintech but obviously they are not ready yet. They have more red tape than the high street branches. They need to ask themselves why they opened mettle. It’s not to offer the services all other fintechs offer for sure
Developer Response ,
