Fantastic!
Applied via the app, decision within minutes, account opened. Applied for overdraft, credit card and small business loan all within the app and successfully accepted. Perfect for a sole trader like me, does what it says on the tin. Mobile barber like me, I can take card payments through global payments which is offered by HSBC through the app. I have been banking with HSBC for my personal account and they have been good throughout. I just hope this business account is as good as the personal. Only downfall is that the customer service is only Mon to Fri 9-5 whereas my advance account has 24/7 customer service. Overall excellent, worth applying if you meet their criteria.

Good start but needs more work
I think banking with HSBC which is behind Kinetic has a lot of added value, for instance cash withdrawals are much easier done competing to other digital banks. However, the app needs urgent improvement. Firstly, when I scroll down to the old transactions it shows same transaction listed 5 to 8 times!! This got me a little heart attack, only after downloading the statements I learnt the app has a bug. Also, it’s not easy to download ALL transactions for the whole financial year which is not very productive! Lastly, the system is only accessible via app not online banking which makes things more difficult for accounting. I use Smarty Software for our accounting which is not listed as a partner and make things difficult to provide for bookkeeping. But I hope the team will bring those improvements soon!

Thank you very much for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated. The issue with multiple transactions has been rectified in our latest release. We are continually adding new features and improving existing ones and you will see these updates soon.
Completely unusable at the present time
Listing duplicates of all my transactions.....completely unreadable at present. It’s all nonsense but you would think this would be fixed ASAP. Reported it but no response from will close account if they are just not bothered....
update... HSBC did respond and said it’s a ‘known problem’ and a fix is being developed... two points... that message was a week ago and no sign of a fix... there is just no way I can allow multiple transactions into the account if I am seeing five six or seven duplicates (it just keeps going up!) of the transactions on the screen.
Second point... why on earth was this app allowed to be released in this state??? I’ve had 16 year old wet behind the ears programmers working for me who would do a better job than this... I’m completely baffled why HSBC has allowed this app to be implemented with this flaw. No choice but to close account and try elsewhere if this isn’t sorted soon which would be a complete waste of mine and HSBC time. Come on HSBC it’s 2021 not 1971....
