Brilliant

I found Countingup to be a brilliant tool for first time business owners, when I needed to get a business account in a hurry after starting a new limited company to receive payments from jobs I had done for big companies, this account was there for me straight away and only took a few days to set up. I could have went through the process of setting up a business account with a known high street name but I needed it in a hurry and Countingup was quick an easy to set up. It also helps with showing you what your spending your money on and give you categories that’s recognised by . Gov. It also reminds you after every bank payment in or out to get the receipt and gives you the option of taking a photo for records to make it easy for accounts.
Only downside is I haven’t figured out if I can have more than one bank card for my partnering business owner. If you need a quick bank account for new company then would highly recommend

Brilliant for a small business

I love the app/account. So much better for a small business like myself. I used to find myself putting off updating my accounts for months at a time. Now with counting up they are done literally instantly. As soon as you make a purchase you get a notification to take a picture of your receipt and it’s stored. When you send an invoice and you customer pays you get a notification to say your paid and it’s already linked to the invoice and done. The tax estimate is great, I’ve only been using it a couple of months but I think it’s fairly accurate and fluctuates with sales and purchases daily. I really can’t recommend it enough as a bank and an accountant - you won’t be disappointed with a counting up account.

I WOULD NOT ADVISE ITS USE

First off- They have no calling number, where you can liaise with a customer service representative to your full satisfaction. No calls-yes. The rest is for you to imagine, when there’s an issue with your account with no one to talk to or call; and you waiting for their reply at their discretion.

Personally, I would say they have a pretty fast banking service. Yes- that’s good but what good does it do when my money is not protected?

For a £130 call back from a client, this fintech where I average £30k in sales monthly; blocked my account and held the money. Only for me to get an EMAIL saying, I had to adduce evidence to get any access to the rest of the money in my account. Guys, I did so and this bank, instead of checking with the disputing bank, told me to tell the customer to call their bank, to call them and let them know. Imagine this.

When I ask that my account be closed and my money returned- they reply with an email of bogus clauses telling me my legitimately earned money will be held for up to 30 days before being sent back to me.

This experience was worse than hell itself, as my business is very continuous and I relied heavily on them.

I would advise you to stay away from them but if you really want to; then keep the money you hold with them to the minimum. One disputed payment could get you messed up instead of getting a good customer service for your business.

Thank me later.
