The latest version of the my giffgaff app for iOS is here.
We’ve added a bunch of great new features, the most exciting of which is Touch ID/Face ID. This nifty little addition allows you log in to your account with just the touch of your finger. Nice one. Of course, you’ll still be able to buy plans on the go, set them to recur and top up whenever you fancy. Although that’s just the start of what this palm-sized wonder can do.

Great app but...!
I’ve been using Giffgaff for a few months now with not many problems, however sometimes I have signal problems ie my phone will say I have 4g yet I can’t access the internet and not sure why. Also I got my partner to join and recently got my 10 year old daughter on it too. Here is where my problem lies, as the App is 17+ which means she can’t download it to check her usage and I can’t have her account on my app either which means I can’t check her usage either and I’m the one topping her phone up. If Giffgaff can add a joint parent account onto their app that would make a huge difference.

Took 2 years on a contract, with a horrid unmentionable, huge corporation ‘Dopeyfone`! Don’t ask kids at Uni had to replace a phone, gave mine and went on a contract!! Never, ever again! So many calls to Cairo, yes a call centre in Cairo! Over priced!! Contract changes, promised no roaming anywhere, even charge in Munich Airport yes EU!! Moved house, charges went through the roof! ET didn’t move home as promised and didn’t come home for 6 weeks!! Used IPhone to complain, then more complaints to Dopeyfone, as charged well over the odds!! All whilst waiting for the contract to end! Broken promises again and again about unlocking my phone! Until I formally complained and threatened a formal complaint to ofcom!! Finally a visit to the new Dopeyfone shop resolved everything and I was finally freed from the chains, of a communications corporation whose right hand doesn’t know what it’s left hand is doing! And hooray I’m back with Giffgaff! Next new phone will be from Giffgaff, at 59 years of age I never want to listen to so many broken promises and pay extortionate prices/ be tied into an ever increasing unpredictable direct debit ever again!
Very easy and useful
I’ve been using Giffgaff for about 3 years or more now and I’ve found this app to be very useful as it’s so easy to check my data every now and then. If I didn’t have this app I think I’d run out of data immediately but now I can check up on it with just a few clicks rather than going onto safari and going through all the online processes. One thing I think will be cool to add for the certain people who use a low amount of data, I think they should add a limit for a day that people can set so they can keep track and so they don’t use too much. It’d definitively be useful for some of my mates who constantly use their data within days. Overall though it’s a great app and I would recommend using it.
