Registration
It only takes a couple of minutes to get started on NatWest ClearSpend. Simply download the App and click ‘Need to register’ and then follow the onscreen instructions. Please note, the Business or Commercial Card account will need to be registered and activated before cardholder users can register.
NatWest ClearSpend is available to eligible NatWest Business and Commercial Card account customers with compatible iOS devices and a UK or international mobile number in specific countries. Over 18s only, other terms and conditions apply.

App now not recognising email and password

I’ve been using this app quite happily for the last few weeks, but as of 10th Sept 2019 I am now unable to login. The app is telling me my email and password do not match. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, tried both resetting and changing my password (temp password email does not work from the app). I can login fine from the clearview website, so I know my details are still valid. It’s just the app that is now a waste of space on my phone. Let me know when you sort it out, Natwest- I haven’t got time to keep constantly trying.

Wish could be NO stars

This app has no functionality at all. Not intuitive, all transactions are timed at 12:00AM, making it impossible to differentiate 3 same day transactions one from another as they show the same time. The inbox and outbox messages are only to receive messages. Outbox normally means messages sent by the user OUT of their own device. Not messages received from the bank/app. No way to export csv files only pdf which are also not intuitive, no way to pay into account from the CONNECTED current business account and no way to pay from the online banking app to the card as the card is not shown on Natwest app or website. Splitting the credit cards and current account in 2 completely unlinked systems just makes it harder and add more tasks for the user to do. Also upscale vulnerabilities for developers having to deal with 2 apps, 2 websites and putting our accounts at risk. The more surface you expose online for hackers to attack the more locks you need in place. Huge companies get hacked everyday and NatWest is just multiplying the risk.

Shocking!

To date I am yet to come across an app that is hopeless. The functionality is poor and clunky, finding an accurate breakdown of your recent spending is impossible. My statement history stops at November 2022 and the recent statement that I have received via the post are not present on the app. It’s fortunate that I elected to receive my statements through the post, otherwise I’d have zero visibility on my account.

It makes this aspecting of running my business a nightmare, furthermore, you’re not able to pay your statement within the app like you can with other credit card providers.

My recent experience has left me with no other choice but to consider moving my business banking and credit card to another bank.

Paying your card from within the app is something that is on our product backlog. Unfortunately it can take some time to develop these new items as there is a backlog of features that have been prioritised to be developed first.
