Great app

Had the app for a few months, it’s almost almost brilliant. However I’ve had constant issues with bugs, my main problem being the offline options not working. If I can’t access the maps without phone signal then this app is pretty useless and unsafe. I don’t rely 100% on this app but others might, if the map doesn’t load in some scenarios it could put them in a very dangerous position.

Also has issues loading with signal, both 4G and WiFi. Wierd things like not being able to load offline maps and routes when I have phone signal. In the apps defence, it hasn’t totally let me down yet however I have had to close it and re-open it over and over then walk to an area I have phone signal, open and close again, wait 5 minutes, do 5 star jumps, whisper a short poem into my phone, perform 3 Hail Marys... the last bit I made up but you get the picture. I usually can get it to work but sometimes it takes up to 20 minutes of messing about with it.

My phone is an iPhone XR, in good condition, lots of free memory, I don’t have any issues with it. This app has problems not my phone. Please fix the bugs!! When this app works perfectly it really is brilliant! If this app worked seamlessly I would unquestionably next giving it 5 stars. Right now though if the map won’t load then this app is useless.

So disappointing! RECENTLY EDITED!

EDIT! I understand that some of the problems have been resolved and also I did an online search for problems with the offline maps and saw that it was recommended to not store anything OS in the cloud but on the phone instead and that does seem to have helped - I’m not sure if it was just impossible to download things from the cloud when out of signal which was causing the problem. Hopefully I won’t have any more problems and if that is a solution it might be better to have the developers make it that OS documents are saved to the phone by default?

This used to be one of my favourite apps. Reliable and very useful. Then suddenly my downloaded maps would not show when I was out of signal which was very inconvenient to say the least. So I decided to upgrade the app thinking that maybe my version was obsolete. This was a big mistake - not only is the interface now overly complicated, the maps still won’t download and in fact just now, sitting in my house with perfect wifi I get the message ‘You are offline. Failed to change layer’. No maps are being downloaded at all. This would be bad enough for a free app, but for one I’m paying for I really would expect something better. Also, as others have said, it takes ages for the maps to open even when the app is working, and I’m sure it didn’t use to. Please please fix this or like others I will have to stop my subscription which would be a real shame!
