However, there is a feeling of job insecurity and stress when you cannot navigate properly due to their lower than average navigation system.They could definitely improve their pay, be more lenient with drivers and improve the location of places on their map system to make it easier for drivers.

This app is genuinely one of the most misleading and borderline unethical platforms I’ve come across. You’ll see 5/5 reviews claiming you can “earn the same as a normal job” — that is simply not true in reality. Those reviews either ignore the full picture or are completely out of touch with what drivers actually experience.What they don’t tell you is that your so-called “earnings” don’t factor in fuel, insurance, or most importantly, wear and tear on your vehicle. Once you account for those, your real hourly rate drops significantly — often to something that’s not even close to minimum wage.The route timings are also completely unrealistic. You’re given tight delivery windows that assume perfect traffic conditions, zero delays, and non-stop movement. In the real world, that’s impossible. If anything goes slightly wrong — traffic, parking issues, access problems — you’re instantly behind, stressed, and rushing just to keep up. I have worked for several courier companies, and I am a quick driver but Relay is by far the worst of the bunch. There’s no proper consideration for driver wellbeing, no realistic buffer time, and no transparency about true earnings. It feels like the system is designed to squeeze as much work out of you as possible while making it look profitable on the surface.Overall, this app massively overpromises and underdelivers. If you value your time, your car, and your sanity, avoid.

I signed up prior to Xmas and although glitches with the app and communication between myself and the live chat ( no phone number unless they need you immediately they can magically call you ) was okay pay was fair. Fast forward a couple of months and being a gold member now down to silver. I was offered 2 routes at £41 and £45 both 49 drops each and both 3hrs minimum ( so they say ). A friend I know who was also signed up was offered for the exact same jobs £61 and £58. For the exact same job. It appears the more you work for them the less they offer you over time. They have different rates for different drivers which I am sure is illegal. But don’t expect a response from them through email or chat, because they’ll just give you the generic sentence - it’s done by demand! Despite us both looking at the exact same time at 10am in the morning! Definitely illegal behaviour but expected to just get on with it.
