The app itself seems to work fine. Here are the pros and cons of working for Relay:Pros: Job flexibility Some routes offer high prices Ability to change times to suit your dayRelatively straight forward Cons:Relay support takes an extremely long time to get back to youRoute prices can also be very low, e.g £42 for over 56 parcelsYou can easily get suspended over missing parcels, late cancellations etc and lose access to your account Some of the routes take longer than expected due to the navigation system being inaccurateIf you cannot deliver parcels due to a business being closed you won’t receive the full amount through no fault of your ownSo in general, Relay can be good if you manage to snap up a higher paying route before another driver does, and it is flexible. However, there is a feeling of job insecurity and stress when you cannot navigate properly due to their lower than average navigation system.They could definitely improve their pay, be more lenient with drivers and improve the location of places on their map system to make it easier for drivers.

I signed up prior to Xmas and although glitches with the app and communication between myself and the live chat ( no phone number unless they need you immediately they can magically call you ) was okay pay was fair. Fast forward a couple of months and being a gold member now down to silver. I was offered 2 routes at £41 and £45 both 49 drops each and both 3hrs minimum ( so they say ). A friend I know who was also signed up was offered for the exact same jobs £61 and £58. For the exact same job. It appears the more you work for them the less they offer you over time. They have different rates for different drivers which I am sure is illegal. But don’t expect a response from them through email or chat, because they’ll just give you the generic sentence - it’s done by demand! Despite us both looking at the exact same time at 10am in the morning! Definitely illegal behaviour but expected to just get on with it.

I recently entered the parcel delivery industry in London using the Relay app, and I've encountered several challenges worth noting. One significant issue is that the app often provides inaccurate drop-off location pins, leading to confusion and causing delays. Since time is crucial in this line of work, having to drive extra minutes to find the correct destination can be quite detrimental, especially when this situation occurs multiple times on a single route. This not only adds frustration but can also impact overall earnings, as those extra minutes could be spent on more productive deliveries. Additionally, certain routes may involve high-floor buildings, which many couriers prefer to avoid due to the physical demands of delivering to upper floors. This is compounded by instances where the customer is not present upon arrival, and couriers typically receive around £1 per delivery. These factors highlight some of the difficulties faced in the parcel delivery sector.

On training days you get paid decent money for every route. But once you come of the training money they offer is a simply joke. Getting charged £4/day for hire and reward insurance, using your own car, diesel etc. Manchester city centre routes for less than a £1 per stop 😂, no contact number for customers. If you pre booking routes they offer you won't get even a £1 per stop. It is good enough if you do just afternoon routes when they start paying ( good enough) money. In simple way - more you experienced, less you get paid. What potentially could be a decent company it comes as another rip off. Shame
