Slightly obsessed with this app now!

I love this app and it’s kind of a joke now with my wife that I’ll get excited when looking for parking! When I’m an unfamiliar area you can load the map, find a carpark and it will navigate you there. Then a couple of buttons later you’ve got your ticket booked. It debuts your card, sends email and SMS confirmation and will even message you when you parking is about to run out (you can then top it up without having to return to car). No more fumbling around looking for change, waiting in a queue to get ticket, worrying about getting back to the car on time... what’s not to like? I have 2 cars and can add both then select which one I’m using. I can’t think of any negatives to using this app. Great job guys

Clever recent changes make it more likely to get a parking ticket - borderline criminal

The app used to be good. Simple to use. I used for for a couple of years. Recent changes make it much less intuitive, perhaps coders sat in a office somewhere who look at nothing all day but this, find it easy. Try using the new look app when you are rushing, in the rain and guess what, you have more on your mind than this app! Then ask yourselves have the new changes made it easier for the user (your primary incline stream), or easier for your parking clients to raise parking fine revenue. Is this a rant? Absolutely. Stung £25 yesterday in MK because the new app requires the user to ‘start the parking session’. Yet sends the text first to say parking session started. The screen also has a ‘started time’ box on left side. Therefore not unreasonable for the user to assume the sessions has started. But no. Apparently not. Hence I’m £25 out of pocket. App developers - please see your changes through the eyes of your CUSTOMERS, in the circumstances they use your product, not through ‘revenue maximised’ eyes. What’s was a v useful product now feels like partnership with the parking location owners to rip off or trick the end customer. Not the most enduring business model I’ve ever seen. Rant over. Frustration remains!

Issue with new secondary bank verification

I used to love the Ringo app but have found that since the new secondary payment verification has been added, the app no longer works for me. Everything initially seems to be working as normal and it appears that the payment is being processed. A screen then appears which gives the option to choose either a one time passcode or to go to verify via your banking app. I have successfully used both of these verification methods when making purchases via other apps/websites, but when using via Ringo, both of the options - OTP and Banking app - are not active links. It is basically not possible to click on either of them which means I have had to abandon the whole process and pay using the machine using coins or my bank card. After discussing this with friends it is clear that this problem exists for both the HSBC and First Direct apps - perhaps other banks too? For the time being I am going to revert to the old school payment system of using coins or a bank card every time I am parking in a Ringo car park…
