Salter Health 4+

Poor User Interface

There was nothing wrong with the older app (that this one replaced) that the application of a more contemporary look and feel (skin) would have fixed. This one makes it difficult to see your progress and involves too many clicks to find and then dig into the detail. As someone who’s worked on award winning digital solutions, I’d like to know what the drivers for this app were and what robust user testing was done, as if would fail the usability testing I’ve undertaken in the past. Judging by the amount of space taken in the developer’s replies to providing user instructions, I would say very little, if any at all.

Bring back MiBody!

I was really impressed with my scales, everything was great, app (MiBody) worked spot on, easy to use, etc. Then you decided to replace what works with what doesn’t! My scales will not connect to this app. As other reviewers have said, it doesn’t complete the Bluetooth connection. So, like others have said, I’ll continue using MiBody until it stops working, then I’ll buy new scales from a different manufacturer. EDIT 2 days ago I finally got it to work, but it awful! The MiBody app’s graph gives a line from each reading, which is such a boost when you can see it going down. This app has a line going straight across on the first reading it gave, and there’s just tiny dots to track your weight loss. So there is absolutely nothing visual showing you how you are doing! PLUS- THIS MORNING IT SAID “NEW DATA RECEIVED” BEFORE ID EVEN STEPPED ON THE SCALES”!!! I want to change my star rating, but you can’t seem to give zero stars. This is genuinely the worst app I’ve ever tried. Plus it’s stopped the brilliant MiBody app from taking reading now, so until I get a new set of scales I can’t track my weight loss 😡 Now a completely good set of scales has to go in the bin! Very disappointed, I try to go for old trusted names, and Salter is always at the top for scales etc. but this has put me right off them 😞

New user had trouble getting it to pair

Followed instructions in the app for pairing and press next after each operation. All went well till got to the final stage and after a long delay with nothing much happening it failed to pair. On off reset phone and scales and still the same.

Just about to give up and return the scales and then finally I did not turn on the scales at the app suggested stage and then select your user no 1 to 4 but in case the scale had given up pairing by the time I had done those 2 stages I instead clicked these 2 stages first in the app then trod on the scales to switch them on. Instantly the pairing indicator lit up quickly followed by the next 2 stages.

Then all worked fine. So if you’re not super quick in responding to the app when pairing try switching on the scales later when the app is already trying to pair.
