App has really improved.

It must be close to a year since I last reviewed this app, and I couldn’t bare to use it again because at the time it was just the worst thing I’ve ever used. However, this app has significanly improved and I can’t quite believe it! I only use it for the Washing Machine, and it works so well. As a young person I’m always worried I’m going to mess up the washing some way or other, but the app offers a “Recipe” feature which lets you tell it what clothes are in the machine and it then suggests a cycle to put it on. After a bit of hassle setting up (~15 mins), within a few minutes you can control the washing machine at the touch of a button from your phone and it’s fantastic. The app is easy to use, well-laid out and overall fantastic. It’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into improving this app, because it was originally very, very poor.

Constantly fails to connect to Frame TV

I really want to like this app. It has huge potential and IMO is more sophisticated than HomeKit, Google Home, etc. Now that Matter is a reality, I want this to be my go-to app for smart home control. The energy saving section is well thought out, with huge potential… However, it is very disappointing that this Samsung app doesn’t work with the flagship Samsung Frame TV - especially when trying to control the subscription art. Constant errors, disconnections and freezing result in anger and frustration. I really hope they find a way to make their own products compatible… at the moment, it just doesn’t work well enough, online forums are full of complaints, and Samsung should be embarrassed!

…6 months later, it is still completely unreliable. The Samsung Frame TV that acts as a Samsung hub does not have an Ethernet port and has a network connection failure every few days. I don’t understand how Samsung can promise so much but deliver so little!

Very disappointed

Downloaded this app today to help set up two Samsung tvs and found it to be largely useless. The app connected to the TVs and all signs were that it was in sync with the TVs but at the very end of the registration process the transfer of data hadn’t worked and I have to go through all the same steps again using each remote. Using the app as a remote control is hopeless.
I also tried to use it to purchase a subscription for a Frame TV. I’ve been charged and initially it seemed to work but having turned the tv off for a few hours and gone back to it, it seems there is no record anywhere of the purchase. I am so disappointed this is the best Samsung can do particularly with one of the TVs which is one of their newest and apparently most advanced. It’s one of these apps which looks the part but the functionality is terrible.

When I was having these problems I did think of this was an Apple product these issues simply would not happen. Samsung must be able to improve this.
