truly excellent TOTP authenticator app for Apple devices

I needed to update from the increasingly unreliable text-based 2FA. I am ancient and relatively IT illiterate. As I am totally Apple-based, after a brief search of authenticator reviews, I opted for StepTwo. I most definitely have not regretted my decision. It is quick to set up, simple to use, utterly reliable, is beautifully designed and most of all is user-friendly across all my devices. Neil is to be congratulated on producing a truly excellent app which I commend to all (but especially those users of an older vintage who have not grown up with IT)!

Absolutely amazing app! It just works, the UI is the best I’ve seen in a long time, and sync is amazing. I’d really like macOS support as it’d remove the step of me having to get out my phone to sign in (universal clipboard makes that easy though) but that’s all I can say that’s not positive. Thanks!!

Step Two is available on macOS! You can find it on the Mac App Store for macOS Catalina.

Just works!

A brilliant 2FA app, slick UI, simple to use, and iCloud sync just works! Less one star for no faceID/passcode security, and ‘send feedback’ button doesn’t work - requires the Apple Mail app which I don’t use.
UPDATE: I’m a bit dissapointed with lack of updates/improvements - 7months since the last update, while the app works flawlessly, I did hope to see improvements by now, like those afore mentioned ^

Hey there,

There are no plans for Face ID/passcode lock as your device passcode is all you need to keep your two-step codes safe. Keep in mind that if someone gains physical access to your device and can make it past the Lock Screen, two-step verification isn’t meant to help you at that point.

The Send Feedback button works as expected.
