Good, but could be better
Started using this after I had a text msg from Tesco telling me that I had used up all my data. Since I never go beyond the house WiFi I was shocked- so called Tesco mobile. They were so helpful and not only told me what had caused this but how to prevent it occurring again; in fact the service operator told me to carry out her advice (to switch off 'use mobile data' from a particular section of my phone settings) right then while I was talking to her. She told me about this app and how I could keep track of my usage and I have been using it daily since. It is very good for giving you a heads up of what your phone might be doing without your knowledge so excellent if you change your phone and don't go through every single app and setting to check on data use (mobile access ? if you don't really need it, turn off the mobile data ).
The only niggle is that it is a little slow to show any additional payments for more data you have made (but it still shows within 24 hours) and you can't see your safety buffer (perhaps for security reasons?).
Overall, it is easy to use and makes me feel like I am back in control so I would recommend getting it if you are a Tesco customer. You can see at a glance how many minutes you have used - phone, text and how much data you have used. Brilliant!
Good but still needs improvement
This over all is a good app everything is where you would expect it to be and is even helpful with providing more information when needed. Personally though I feel there is some things missing from this app.
Let’s start with the user interface, Tesco Mobile had a rebrand coming up to a year ago where they wanted to blend in with their bigger company Tesco. Yet after all this time they still haven’t changed the app to blend in? I’m open to this change as I prefer their new branding over their old, so can we make this happen TM?
Secondly would be extra additional things that would benefit us as their customers. It would be nice to have in the app, which some of us use on a daily/weekly basis, something like and upgrade date. So when your ready to upgrade you get some text on the first screen saying your ready for upgrade or like a count down you can upgrade in X amount of time, like 2 years as an example. There are many other things like catching up with payments through the app, help guides and maybe even a store locator.

Tesco Mobile is the best ......... but ........
I love Tesco Mobile - but I have one quibble.
I have a £5 a month contract.
This covers my needs admirably.
I have a Direct Debit to pay monthly.
Occasionally the amount taken is more than this - e.g. my August bill was £6.40. Others have been £5.50 etc.
There is never explanation about why this extra charge has been applied. I have tried phoning
to establish what I have done to incur this extra charge. But no success.
The extra amounts are small and I have no objection to being charged if indeed I have somehow used extra facilities that are not covered by my contract
BUT WHY CAN YOU NOT EXPLAIN WHAT THESE EXTRA CHARGES ARE FOR?
I get generic answers such as ‘oh possibly long msgs’ or
‘Maybe Photos’. Nothing concrete.
This is not good enough is it. It is not audit-able or verifiable.
In this technological day and and age you must know EXACTLY where these charges come from.
They should be clearly itemised on my bill.
I would be so pleased if you can implement this.
Apart from the above- I think Tesco Mobile is the tops. Thank you very much.
