Useless

This app was working fine until you made recent changes and now when you log on it returns your screen to black. You then reload and cant access as it doesn’t connect to WiFi or 4g. So whilst sitting on bus I can’t access my tickets so I’m asked to leave the bus. It is beyond belief that you haven’t fixed this and it is a disgrace that you have this contract in the first place when such errors occur and are not rectified. Utterly appalling and you wonder why people take their car.

Initially great - now not working at all

Unfortunately this App has now died on my iphone 7 - it immediately crashes whenever I try to open it. Earlier this week it started failing and would complain of lack of network connection when the network was fine, meaning I could neither share nor purchase new tickets. Restarting my phone made no difference to its behaviour. I have at least £10 worth of tickets tied up in this broken app which I can no longer use. Until they fully resolve all their recent issues I cannot recommend this app at all.
Initially this app was okay and worked well in the sense you don’t have to keep a pocketful of change handy and I can buy tickets for my son. However I also missed a bus once because they app suddenly dropped me into the login page just as I was about to board and I could not recover my password quickly enough, so please beware. It’s a good concept but currently poorly implemented and operationalised.

Minimum £10 is a joke

As an infrequent bus user I do not want to spend more than ten pound in one transaction just so I can use one bus ride. Absolute scam and totally unnecessary! Even if I did buy the minimum requirement (of at least SEVEN single fares!) they would expire within 180 days!

This app is supposed to stop people from needing to find change for a bus (the fact you don’t give change is another outrageous scam but that’s another story) yet I can’t just buy one single ticket as and when I would need it? Pathetic attempt for a cashless payment system.

Lothian Buses needs a system like Oyster where you can pay as you go. Even Oyster is redundant now that single journeys can easily be paid for via a contectless bank card. Not everybody wants to or needs to buy multiple journeys at a time which is what LB forces its customers to do; either by using this app or by using a Ridacard.
