Worked straight away

(Second review as the first one was deleted)

As I’ve previously said I’ve not had any issues with activation of card or the app whatsoever but I do feel sorry for anyone who have had issues with it, the only thing I’d like to see is the notifications work in real time like if you pay for goods in a shop or online or if a transfer takes place this needs to be in real time as the payment has already gone out of the account which shows this in the balance regardless of it saying pending etc, other than that I look forward to all new upcoming updates within the app and it’s features

Spectacularly poor downgrade from the older app

I think the title says it all really. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the older app in terms of its usability. The design was clear, unambiguous and lacking nothing. The new one however is a car crash of style (or lack there of) over substance. In and out transactions from both accounts are now combined into one confusing timeline, each being differentiated from each other by icons, whose designs have seeming fallen through a time warp from the early 2000’s. I do understand that there was likely a need to make backend changes to the app for security and maybe new features, but all of them could’ve been done without changing the fundamental basics of a pretty good UI. The whole undertaking just reeks of some over zealous project manager, over promising and underdelivering to higher ups thanks to an above average PowerPoint presentation shown at the last meeting on a wet and dreary Friday afternoon, where all participants had one eye on what they were doing over the weekend. The only improvement I can perhaps offer to the development team, who are likely already smarting from the kicking inflicted to their professional pride by the poor reviews so far, is to simply copy the old app and pretend that nothing happened.

Developer Response ,

Hi, thanks for your feedback. I am sorry you feel this way. I will share this with the relevant team. In the coming months we will introduce new updates with more controls and personalisation in budgeting as well as UI improvements. 2024 will also see the addition of savings pots, virtual cards and more. Please do share any further suggestions at research@thinkmoney.co.uk

Waited over a week for new debit card to arrive and have not been able to withdraw any money or pay for anything on existing debit card. New card finally arrived, so updated app and have tried to activate new card, keeps saying incorrect!! But it’s not. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled new app still fails. Have tried calling but can never get through to anybody if it actually lets you hold for god knows how many hours I’ve sat on hold waiting for someone to answer over last few days. Most times when calling it will not let you hold says we cannot take your call and cuts you off. They keep directing you to website or app to assist you but this does not help resolving your problems or give you answers you really need. I’ve been without cash for a week now and unable to pay for anything!! This has totally messed up many things in my daily life, still with no resolve as still getting nowhere, still sat on hold!!!! The whole situation is disgusting putting customers in really bad situations! I really do not know what to do!!!!!!!!!!
