UniFi update

When Uniquiti first came out with UniFi it was amazing and groundbreaking. Then a few years later they just about wrecked everything with terrible changes, broken updates, poor customer support, the web app changes where unusable, vpn support shocking and generally I was about to leave the brand completely. Recently they had serious availability problems of stock globally and still do to a degree. They also didn’t tell the Public that they are discontinuing certain products. Then they brought out good replacements but some of the consumer units could have been faster in todays gigabit world that needs packet inspection. Nevertheless I am still using their stuff but things have improved recently. The UniFi software is more usable, improved products have finally been released but I am not sure if it’s too little too late and we just about need the next generation already, vpn has improved, mobile app is good but still can’t do certain thing like change WiFi schedule for example, firmware versions seem more stable vs disastrous releases like we had for a while, so overall it’s gone from good to bad and back to good again. 7/10 let’s hope things improve more in all respects.

We appreciate the feedback. Regarding WiFi Scheduler, it can be found in the mobile app, navigate to the Settings tab, go to the WiFi, select the WiFi you want to edit the WiFi Scheduler and scroll to the bottom of the screen. Please let us know at mobile-support@ui.com if the option is missing.

This is how all networks should be managed

I run a complex network at home due to working in IT and having a fair amount of automation. I’ve used a variety of kit over the years, and all of it has been a pain to setup and manage. This app (and the UniFi range of hardware) has made managing my network a joyful experience, rather than the the stressful experience I had previously. Thank you Ubiquiti, for understanding how to do this properly!

Poor Update

Update 15th May 2022, FINALLY after all these weeks the App is working as it use to be! NO “Getting Ready” anymore, the App loads correctly. Thank you
Update 23rd March, obviously your not listening to the original problem and just updating how you feel, but still I get “Getting Ready” and wait 15 seconds before I can even open the App! Brilliant update again!!!!!!!!! Update on the 3rd March still exactly the same! Problem still the same and no further forward!!! I can’t put below 1 star, but this new update certainly needs -5!!! This new update has made the App slower. When you open the App you get a message saying “Getting Ready” which stays there for 15 seconds. You then have to wait for the App, then tap configure, and wait again for the AP to load. Backwards improvement in this update! Why make things worse, very disappointed! Update…. I don’t “Reach Out”, but would like the App to be backdated to the working version option. I have contacted you, but no reply from yourselves. Update 1st March, still nothing of an improvement.
