Wahoo SYSTM is the most comprehensive, immersive and effective training app available for time-crunched cyclists, triathletes, and other endurance athletes. Backed by cutting-edge sports science, SYSTM takes the guesswork out of training with personalized cycling, triathlon and running workouts; strength training, yoga, and mental training, all integrated into easy-to-follow training plans for every discipline.

SYSTM puts you in the middle of the action with a huge library of workouts paired to heart-pumping, motivating content. Experience what it’s like to be a professional cyclist with the ‘ProRides’ series, featuring first-person, on-board camera footage from the biggest races in the world. Train alongside Wahoo athletes and get a backstage pass to getting fast with the ‘A Week With’ series. Go ‘On Location’ to ride the world's most iconic routes, push yourself with a workout from ‘The Sufferfest’ collection, or get inspired with the ‘Inspiration’ series of cycling-focused documentaries paired to base and recovery sessions. And if you want to stream your own content while doing a structured workout complete with on-screen instructions, fire up one of the ‘SYSTM NoVid’ sessions.

SYSTM works with most Bluetooth-enabled trainers and fitness devices so you can train to personalized power, heart rate and cadence targets.

Other training apps set power targets based on a simple percentage of your sustained power (FTP). SYSTM uses a comprehensive 4DP® fitness test to calculate your Rider Type, identify your strengths and weaknesses, and measure what you’re capable of across 4 critical performance metrics: Neuromuscular Power (sprint power), Anaerobic Capacity (1-minute power), Maximal Aerobic Power (5-minute power), and FTP (20-minute power). Using 4DP®, SYSTM then tailors the power targets in your workouts so you get the most out of the time you have to train. You’ll work at the exact intensity necessary to get stronger and faster, without wasting a single pedal stroke.

Use the SYSTM Training Plan Stepper to configure your own easy-to-follow, comprehensive training plan for road, multisport, cyclocross, gravel, mountain biking, and eSports. Add yoga, strength training, and mental training to your plan for truly complete training. Every training plan is tailored to your fitness level and designed to deliver maximum gains with minimum time. Grounded in cutting-edge sports science and proven by victories in the most prestigious events in the world, SYSTM training plans deliver results.

Entertaining and varied.

I was unsure of Sufferfest initially and wasn’t really engaged during the trial period. It links very well to Wahoo Kickr but I upgraded my heart rate strap to one supporting Bluetooth so it’s all available in one place. The link to Garmin has also worked well with each Sufferfest session appearing immediately in Garmin Connect.
Having completed the fitness test the effort is now set at a challenging level for me and the videos are varied and entertaining. There are lots of training sessions to address weaknesses or build strengths and I like the GMBN training sessions which feel more like a gym class.
I hadn’t expected to use the yoga sessions but being just 15 minutes they make a good start to the day without much commitment and I think the stretching is beneficial. There is enough choice to provide variety and to work on different areas. The mental toughness section is another benefit and it has helped me see the real goals I should be aiming toward. Finally, I have only just started the strength section so will have to see how that goes.
Overall much more content than I had expected, easy to use and well thought out.

Goes from strength to strength

I’m not into video games so Zwift has never been something I have ever enjoyed. I want something that gets me fit and makes me work hard. I have limited time, especially during the week so every minute has to count. Sufferfest, now Wahoo has never disappointed. I started with the original Sufferfest videos in fact way before the app came along. The training plans are now absolutely superb and focus on YOUR strengths and weaknesses based on the 4 Dimensional Power Test. Their training plans are therefore NOT multi vitamin plans designed for anyone and everyone. I tend to do 2 12 week plans over the autumn and winter and now spring is here and I am hitting the roads every weekend, I am on fire! Yesterday all my riding buddies commented on how I attacked every little numb and climb. This really works. And if you do like video games, it also includes RGT which I have tried on rides I know reasonably well and I found it reasonably enjoyable! Do it. You won’t regret it.

Motivating and challenging workouts from home!

Not a huge cyclist, but had a road bike gathering dust. Managed to get a smart trainer (the Kickr core -excellent) as I wanted to work on my fitness during the lockdown, and didn’t want to do much running. I cannot believe how good the workouts I’ve had using this app; I have no doubt that it will improve my fitness over time. I’m currently using a training plan and am excited to retest my FDP at the end of it! The also has loads of extra features (yoga/strength) which I don’t use personally, as I already do these, and loads of information on the workouts and fitness tests so you really get to understand the purpose of each session. No wasted time in the saddle, super efficient!
Note - have a towel/water nearby because you’ll need it!
