Description
The Real Rewards app is the official mobile app for the SuperValu loyalty programme. Once you download the app, your Real Rewards card will unlock amazing savings each week. As a Real Rewards member, you have access to money off vouchers every Thursday, extra savings with our weekly coupons, exclusive Real Rewards prices, supreme quality collector campaigns and a chance to win amazing prizes in our monthly Scan to Win draw. You can now activate your weekly vouchers and coupons and add them directly to your card. Once they’ve been activated, you’ll be able to view them in the My Card section at the top right-hand corner of your screen. This will save you valuable time at the till! Make sure to scan your Real Rewards app or card every time you shop in-store or online to save on your weekly shop.
What’s New
Version 3.5.1
You can now activate your weekly vouchers and coupons and add them directly to your card. Once they’ve been activated, you’ll be able to view them in the My Card section at the top right-hand corner of your screen. At the till, all eligible vouchers and coupons will be redeemed simultaneously, saving you valuable time.
We’ve also introduced the option to go paperless and can opt in to receiving digital receipts only in the My Receipts section of your app.

Doesn’t work on my iPhone SE
Got an update to add to the review:
Got the app to work on iPhone SE by going to Settings and Displsy and Brightness and changing displsy from Zoom to Standard (although i wanted to leave it at zoom) and adjusting the text size down a bit.
App now works as the issue I was facing was to do with screen freeze on the scroll . Upping the rating to 3 stars from 1 . Was able to use larger text and zoom on the prior version of this app which was a good feature.
This was a good app until the latest version upgrade from 2.3.0 to 3.0. I can no longer use it as the screen freezes so it’s back to using the fob again. Really hoping this major bug gets fixed soon as it’s probably working fine on other types of phones although I did see a few other comments from people with iPhones having the same issue.
Few bugs, but works fine. Badly needs Wallet functionality
App was throwing up errors when I tried to login using Facebook. It wasn’t until I went to website on laptop that I saw this was caused by having an account already that needed to be linked to FB account. Astonished that the app doesn’t place the real rewards card in the wallet app. I don’t know anyone who would keep SV app in their home screen and not sure if worth hunting for in a queue. Add wallet functionality for convenience!! Other than that works fine with showing balance etc.
Practically unusable - needs wifi to work
For weeks now this app hangs on launch in-store, failing to open, leaving me standing at the till like an idiot, while the app fails to fulfil its primary function. I’ve had to join personal hotspots on cashiers phones to get the app to open. I can stand there and open the Dunnes app, the Tesco app, the Lidl app, but not the SuperValu app. It seems to have a problem with 5G. A rewards app that doesn’t work on a cellular signal - it would be funny if it wasn’t so annoying. And this is the second version in a row that had behaved like this, so the chance to fix it has been missed in this version. Poor. Very poor.
