I have been using Facebook for more than fifteen years now. Over these years Facebook has shaped and reshaped itself to remain the most sought after social media in India. Needless to say, they have been successful so far. However, there is one aspect that requires the leadership attention, execution or enforcement of FB Community Standards, that is.

It is understood that zillions of lines of content is being pored into FB every moment. It is not humanly possible for any central authority to check, edit, moderate or restrict the content. Even if a content is reported by users, it is still not possible to do justice to the reports. This is where the role of AI comes into play.

Unfortunately, the AI solution FB uses to control content, especially, in Indian vernacular languages is very primitive and not at all fit to purpose. This creates confusion, frustration, dispute, disappointment and perhaps attrition. I beg the attention of FB leadership to look into the matter and do whatever is required to do to improve the AI engine and increase the percentage of human review to appropriately enforce FB Community standards.
