Good:The process is fast when the app works (unfortunately, it often doesn’t).Customer care responds quickly, but the explanations are unclear. For most questions about current updates, the response is usually “we don’t know”, which feels unprofessional—as if the staff are not properly informed or trained.Bad:High interest rate. There is a big difference between what is explained at the beginning and what we end up paying at the end.Another major issue is staff instability. The person who processes the gold loan is often not available during release. In my case, the staff member had already left, leaving no one accountable for the false or misleading information given earlier. This has also happened to other customers.Poor app performance. The app is unreliable and frequently fails.No real-time updates compared to other gold loan platforms.Very poor hospitality and management, both during direct visits and phone calls—especially at the time of gold release.Overall, the service is not up to current market standards, particularly considering present gold market value and LPG policies.Usually, people don’t take time to write reviews. If someone does, it means the experience is 100% genuine. Please take this feedback seriously and work on improving the service.
The App doesn’t Open - No options any longer to pay via UPI

iMuthoot App doesn’t work for me. It just says “You are connected to unsecured WiFi network”. All my Banking Apps works and all my Work Related Apps works which has even more security restrictions. Previously repaying was easier, with UPI available directly on the App, now that is also not available. Have to go through some GPay account a customer care executive provided and that only allows you to repay the interest amount, not partial or full payment. I get so many marketing calls from the company and when I highlight these existing issues, they will be like “Oh for that you need to contact that other team as they handle it and we just called you to inform this”!!! Why call someone for new offers if you don’t know about your existing customer experience and not able to resolve them or direct the complaint to the relevant team. Very very disappointed.

I recently had a disappointing experience with Muthoot Finance, where I was charged an exorbitant penalty fee of Rs 1000 for just one day. This unjustifiable charge left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with their services.To make matters worse, the customer service representative, a lady named Poornima, from Btm layout branch displayed a dismissive attitude by simply attributing the issue to a "system fault." Her behavior was unhelpful and failed to address my concerns or provide a satisfactory explanation for the penalty.As a customer, I believe in fair and transparent practices, and this incident has left me questioning Muthoot Finance's commitment to these values. Charging such an excessive penalty for a single day seems unreasonable and does not reflect a customer-centric approach.I hope that by sharing my experience, other potential customers will be cautious and informed about the practices and level of customer service at Muthoot Finance. It is important for businesses to uphold fairness and accountability in their dealings, and unfortunately, I did not find that to be the case here.I urge Muthoot Finance to review their penalty charges, improve their customer service standards, and ensure that such unfair practices are rectified.

Part payment is useless & Calculation mistakes

1. I had done payment for my loan from 3rd party app which they have clearly mentioned that NO conveniences fee or platform charges will be deducted and same can be verified from payment receipt but when I check history in Muthood app their is a difference in calculation for which bank has no answer and employees of bank are seriously giving useless answer.2. Whenever I tried to make a payment of from Muthood app with part payment it’s not allowing me to make a payment from then my interest amount, so that feature is totally useless3. No updated values are visible in loan section only total amount is visible irrespective of how many payments you have done.
