Description
Notes is the best place to jot down quick thoughts or save longer notes filled with checklists, images, web links, scanned documents, handwritten notes or sketches. And with iCloud, it’s easy to keep all your devices in sync, so you’ll always have your notes with you.

Powerful note-taking
• Add attachments — photos, maps, web links, documents and more. Scan paper documents with the built-in document scanner.
• Secure sensitive or personal data in a locked note.
• Create checklists. Make a shopping list, a wish list or a to-do list, then tap to tick off items as you go.
• Apply different text styles, such as heading or body, bulleted lists and more.
• Add tables to quickly organise information.
• Use your finger, or Apple Pencil on a compatible iPad, to sketch in your note. Choose from a variety of brush styles and colours, and add lines and grids to a note for easier writing and drawing.
Organise and search
• Search for text in notes, your handwriting, and even inside scanned documents and photos like receipts or bills.
• Keep your notes in folders and subfolders, and sort them in the order you prefer.
• Use tags as a fast and flexible way to categorise and organise your notes. Add one or more tags by typing or handwriting them directly in the note — like #activities or #cooking.
• A Tag Browser in the sidebar lets you tap any tag or combination of tags to quickly view tagged notes.
• Automatically organise notes in a Smart Folder based on filters. Create rules to filter for Date Created, Checklists, Attachments and more.
Collaborate
• Collaborate on entire shared folders or on specific shared notes.
• Mention friends to notify them of important updates and link them directly to a shared note.
• View edit times and dates with highlighted text colour-coded to match collaborators in the note.
• See what others added to a shared note while you were away with Activity view, a day-to-day list summary of activity from each collaborator.
Take notes anywhere
• Just swipe with an Apple Pencil or finger from the bottom-right corner on any compatible iPad to start a Quick Note outside the app. You can also use Fn-Q (Globe-Q) on a keyboard or create Quick Notes on iPhone from the share menu in an app.
• Add deep links from an app or website to a Quick Note to mark your place.

Useless Geometric shapes and No undo redo button for texts
1. I can’t rotate the triangle shape for making an right angled triangle with a horizontal base and vertical adjacent. Why is no rotate functionality added to the triangle in shapes.
2. As there is no undo redo option for texts I have to rewrite again if by mistake texts get deleted. Kindly add this. 3. Why no tick box option for heading and subheading fonts. It would be convenient to check uncheck whole tasks under a heading.
3. Kindly shift pencils and other menus to right side and left side and give a blank space to write in iPhone while used in horizontal mode. There is no space left to write when pencils appear from below.
The Notes app has become unusable
I have used my M1 iPad Pro as my daily driver for productivity and it was all sunshine and roses until I updated to iPadOS 16. Ever since I did that, the Notes app has had over a dozen glitches, bugs, etc., combined together, totally ruins the experience of using an iPad for note taking. Sometimes, the notes app crashes while I am doing serious work, and when I reopen it, I find all data has been erased.
Moreover, the Apple Pencil experience “used” to be great, but after the update it became a total nightmare. The pencil marks take more than a few seconds to appear and the delay has become unacceptable. It is impossible to write with it. Even the screen has started flickering only “while using the Notes app”.
Last comes the battery life issue. My relatively new iPad Pro has only 18 completed charge cycles (I checked by running various diagnostics). After the freaking update, once I used the notes app for only 35 minutes and it drained from 100–29%. Are you serious? 71% drain within 35 minutes— just INSANE!!! Never expected such bad experience from a reputed company like Apple. Utterly disappointed and antagonised.
All Your important file can suddenly crash and never recover!
Hi all, This review is just to bring to everyone attention about the immense loss this app can make. Below is my experience: I was writing my take home exam and suddenly all the content disappeared. I tried multiple times to recover note, nothing happened. Only option was to rewrite all the answers as I had limited time for exam. After rewriting, I immediately backed up my notes on OneDrive. I was happily going to submit from OneDrive backed up note, I noticed 3 page content was missing. I went back and checked even in the notes it disappeared. Note has issue when u back up content. Ur content may lose. I had to rewrite the 3 pages, this time I did it on paper. At least things doesn’t disappear there. Moral of the story: u can’t rely on this app at all, any notes, any important file or work is vulnerable to crash, and disappear. All Apple support will say is I am sorry for your experience, we know this bug and we are working on it. ( it’s a known bug from a long time) read apple support. I wish somebody had told me these kind of issues before I started using this low quality application.
