As per TRAI's New Regulation for the Television and Broadcasting Sector
having come into force, Consumers have the freedom to select Television (TV) Channels they want to watch. TRAI envisions a scalable model in which Consumer can securely communicate with the platforms managed by Cable Operators. The CSAP application will facilitate customers to choose channels/bouquets of their interest among the offerings by their respective Cable Operators. This CSAP application will suggest an optimum configuration of bouquets based on channels desired by the subscriber so as to reduce total monthly bill. The CSAP Application will support customer for current subscriptions from Cable Operators, Provide options of selection of channels/bouquets, Optimize Channel selection, and Set customer subscriptions of their choices on the particular Operator's platform.
Due to compatibility concerns, the users having iOS version 10.0 onwards shall only be able to download and use Channel Selector App.The app is not compatible on devices having iOS version 9.0 and below.

Availability of operator

Hi the app has made options to some of the operators in the market but I cannot find my operator which is sun direct in the listings as it is one of the few operators surrounded India wide so I am looking after the option to utilise the app properly. As of now there is no use for me to get the app to connect.

Customer has power now

Thanks a lot for TRAI for launching this app.. I was paying 400 Rupees per month.. My service provider had done all tricks in their app, so that I could not unselect some hefty packages. But not now I’m able to easily quickly unselect unwanted channels and packages in TRAI’S channel selector APP.. Now my monthly bill decreased by half to 200 rupees.. Thanks to TRAI putting Bridle to service providers..

Hathway Cable Customer [901] error

Initially on first week after the app launched Hathway was able on this app to check your package details and the next week onwards it throws up an error.

In correct details
Dear subscriber, you have entered incorrect details. You may also login with subscriber ID/Set top box no (VC No) [901]

I am surprised when it was able to work in first week of launch app why not in second week and it’s been more then one month I don’t know when this error going to be fixed by TRAI/Hathway and the end customers are in loss by bundling all Tamil/Kanada/Bengali/Marathi FTA channels which I don’t want them to be part of in FTA package atleast bring a final solution and not simply saying customer is king and have power to exercise is choice to choose 😡
