I’ve been trying to update my inverter unit’s software for the last 2 years via the app. In between, I’ve called for service twice but they still couldn’t solve the leaking issue. For now, I know it leaks when it’s on auto but it doesn’t leak when it’s on sleeping mode of a fixed fan speed mode. I do believe the problem lies in between but if I can’t update the unit, there’s no way to prove my issue. I know management played a smart move but not allowing me to change to a brand new unit under warranty during my first service but it’s not as smart if the reputation of Daikin is tainted by unscrupulous tactics.UPDATE: It’s been 2 years since this review (today is 6 DEC 2025) and I can’t even log into the app. Your no response is a response. Will definitely not recommend Daikin to anyone ever.

Developer Response
Dear User, we apologize for the inconvenience you are facing. Please note that the air conditioner unit issue is not related to the app. If there is an error code, there will be indication from the unit itself, not only in the app. If your unit is still experiencing a leaking issue, please kindly contact our call center for further assistance. For app login, please ensure you are using the correct account details. If the issue persists, kindly email your GO DAIKIN account information to customer_service@daikin.com.my, and we will check your account and assist you accordingly. Thank you for your understanding, and we apologize once again for the inconvenience.

Getting better but still quite sluggish

Updates #1: the apps is getting better and a lot has been fixed compared to last review. But the app’s performance and devices connection are still unreliable. Hope that will be resolved soon. Hope to see that there are more refined control from Google Home. Original: The Smart Control suddenly not working now at all. Only able to turn on and off. Unable to access the device page to have more control. The timer setting is buggy and not user friendly as you can’t set a schedule for a week in one step. Each pages loading is slow and buggy as most of the time it will retain the previous device instead. The only redeeming features is that the apps enable Google Home linkage to control but the controls are very limited. It would be better if it also enable Apple Home as this is an iOS apps.

By listening and bringing back old useful “Usage monitoring chart” and even better with up to date electricity tariff prices following TNB Malaysia pricing, also can custom own prices /Kwh🙌🏻🙌🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. For developers, if any new updates. Make sure it more advanced and get better useful like in weekly timer still missing eco mode 🥹. Don’t remove things that already good and useful like previous versions 2.2.85 feel so messed up, OK 😊✌🏻and don’t worry about average rating around 2.6 , that mainly they don’t really know how to pair it properly or use it in full potential benefits. If I have budget I will replace all my AC in my house to daikin ecosystem . Really love it since first day 😌

Becomes useless with 2.2.62

Updated to 2.2.62 last night, then the app is like frozen, stuck showing the status of my AC before update. Can’t on/off AC, or anything. If I operate with remote the app never updates still showing the same, turn off but app still show on. Attempt to reconnect fails. Now my AC just like the old tech from 10 years ago, all manual.UPDATE: Of course I know it must be connected to network how else did I control it all these years? Please think before you comment. I have to fully delete the app and reinstall to make it work again. I’ve revised the rating, it’s more responsive now but not always. 3 stars is generous.

Developer Response
Dear Aimmar04, could you check if your AC unit is still connected to your home Wi-Fi? If it's disconnected, the GO DAIKIN app won’t be able to control the unit or show its status. You may reconnect it by entering your Wi-Fi password again. Let us know if you face any issue during reconnection. Sorry for the trouble, and thank you!
