MyPB by Public Bank 4+

While it feels a lot more updated with UI, it seemed to have removed some fundamental functions such as IBT to none savings account - I couldn’t use the app to initiate payment to my credit cards and loan account with other banks anymore and have to revert back to the old PBe app to do such… it’s silly to maintain 2 apps to perform basic function with the same bank and same accounts.

Left a negative review pointing out issues with the new app. However, it got deleted by Public Bank.

1. Awful redesign with bad UI and UX. Not every new app needs to copy the Alipay and WeChat design interface. It’s really not user friendly. Just look at the “Apply” section where everything can be collapsed into one simple “Apply” button that can then be expanded when needed.

2. The new red-white colour aligns with PB’s corporate identity. However, from a user’s POV, it’s really blinding and irritates the eyes when used for long sessions. Look at the old app with the use of blue in addition to red-white, or even PB Hong Kong modern app where other colours are easily integrated into the app design. The new colour theme is just plain lazy work. Developers should put themselves in the POV of the user.

3. Public Bank is one of the last holdout in Malaysia that still stubbornly refuse to modernise operations and offer better features for users. Example, it still refuses to adopt Apple Pay until today when other smaller, yet more progressive banks have taken the leap forward.

Such a good app and more better than the old one but please fix the lagging sometimes it always laggy and whenever i do a payment transfer the notifications didn’t show it, but need to wait for like 3-4 minutes to the notifications showed up after do a transaction but overall everythings good nice and hopefully theres more features safety for this app and also the bug must be fixing everytime
