One of my absolute favourite apps
I love Beamafilm so much and have put so many grateful friends onto it - it’s a fantastic resource for wonderful films especially my preferred genre of good documentaries. The app has never been buggy since I’ve been using it, which has been a few years now.
Great content, but a real mediocre app
I’m using the app on an iPad Pro 12.9, latest iPadOS and app version.
* Controls are too small and hard to reach
* player is not integrated with iPad OS player controls (control centre is showing: “Not Playing”
* when swiping down control centre to adjust brightness, content stops playing, it’s not clear how to restart playing
* when switching to full screen mode, content stops playing and reloads/buffers again
* no way to use external iPad keyboard to pause, adjust volume (use space to pause/play use arrow up/down to adjust volume is a typical expected behaviour)
* overall feeling of app is slowish when browsing content, looking up the details of content, loading takes quite long and isn’t pre-buffered obviously
Hopefully you could integrate the app better into iPad OS and make it more like the native iPad content playing apps?

What a gem of a collection this is! An eclectic mix of movies, documentaries and series, old and new. The sound and picture quality is excellent.
