I’m yet another person that doesn’t usually do app reviews, but this one is deserving of all the praise and promotion it can get. No ads (THANKYOU!!!!) and very intuitive and easy to use when wanting to track what you’re eating and count calories (or kilojoules).
I’m in New Zealand, and it has an excellent range of “our” foods, as opposed to a bunch of American stuff we don’t even eat.
Fabulous ability to add your own foods (easy from the nutrition label), and own recipes (quick searching for ingredients makes this simple). I LOVE the ability copy and move items and meals to another day, so if you find a low calorie lunch that works, you can copy it and use it again without re-entering everything.
You could even use this to plan ahead, and input meals ahead of time so you can “budget” your calories. It’s really a dream come true in terms of simple functionality - stick to your appropriate caloric intake (which you can tune for weight loss) and you WILL lose weight. Never thought I’d say that counting calories was fun, but this app actually makes it enjoyable - and achievable.
Really helpful app
Since using this app I have consistently lost weight. You do need to enter food as soon as you have eaten so you can add all the ingredients, in a salad for example. The range of preloaded dishes is great and growing. It feels like I have learnt lots about calories in food and am now more aware of what goes in my mouth!
Update: I have now used it for nearly 6 months and am at final goal weight. Still do my diary daily using this fabulous app.
Update 2: I gained 2 kilos over 2 years so am using it again and have lost a kilo so far!
This app is very easy to use, it’s become a part of my day to quickly note down what I’m eating and any exercise I’ve done. Because it’s simple, I use it.
If you need a calorie counter this is a great one. I’ve lost weight simply by realising that those items I’m eating are high calorie items, bread, potatoes chocolate etc I know it’s obvious but for me the numbers make it real and with the goal number per day I can see where I am and how much more food I can eat
