Set up car insurance on the way to pick it up
Through the app I was able to set up a car insurance policy for my car on the way to pick it up. It was easy, quick and meant that I was ready to go when I got to the car yard!
Changes for the worse
The app used to function incredibly! You would click it and it would take you straight in, it remembered your details and had options that were easy to navigate. Ironically enough, the time that I actually need to file a report and claim for the first time, the app had changed. Instead of logging you straight in with remember my details feature, it’s a direct pop up to their website where you have to fill in credentials every time! It’s very slow and the options have all changed, it isn’t very straight forward. I was able to lodge a claim but it took two goes after a page didn’t load and I had to refresh.

Hi Ashleigh, thank you for your feedback. To make login easier, you can now set up a 6-digit PIN or enable biometrics (FaceID or Touch ID) so that you don't have to remember your password when logging in.
We're sorry to hear about your experience when lodging a claim. We're currently investigating the speed and loading issues in relation to this and will aim to address this as soon as possible.
Car Insurance
I have been with State many years, however trying to update amount insured and excess, has, to date, taken me 4 phone calls (fortunately the last was brief), and I’m assured that my requested actions have been taken, policy updated, and premium has been received. However this does not reflect on my online policy - surely this is where one would check that insurance is up to date! And paid! (Payment was made over 1 week ago, before due date). I’m told State are ‘migtrating’ to a new system.
Not good enough State. All through this exercise you keep sending me emails “how are we doing”.
