BDO Online 4+

I kept telling BDO CS that this app is not working properly. I have tried using this even before BDO made an announcement. I also have a BPI app and The new one works great. Your Dev team needs to fix the below 1. Ability to manually add bank accounts that are for family members like Junior Savers or OFW accounts. If the account is not named after you, you wont be able to add it. Your people did not think this through as there are multiple scenarios that can come up on why we need to monitor other family member accounts. (minor, senior, ofw, ect) 2. Credit card transaction is NOT REAL TIME. The OLD BDO app immediately shows applied payments and transactions. It shows the user how much CORRECT remaining balance they can spend. This app DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT and shows you a bloated balance which can cause you to make over drafts on your card! 3. SAVINGS ACCOUNT is not properly updated and is NOT REAL TIME. The OLD BDO APP shows you how much money you have in your account and immediately updates IN ONLY SECONDS after you make a deposit or withdrawal. I have not tried paying bills using this NEW BDO APP because I can feel in my gut that I will have problems. YOUR NEW DEV TEAM DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. Why replace PERFECTLY WORKING APP with garbage??

The new app is so basic tho easy to access using pin. I hope you include the security management where you can lock account and adjust the withdrawal amounts. I hate to adjust it on the website. I initially installed it on my iPad and works just fine but when I received a text message that Old app will be discontinued I installed it in my phone but couldn’t sign-in. I keep getting an error message that my password is incorrect. I tried to log-in multiple times and tried to reset my password on the new app until I locked out due to multiple attempts coz of delayed otp. It must have slipped my mind that I created a password when I initially installed it on my iPad. I didn’t know that password is different from website and old app. I had to contact customer service( I didn’t know they can call you when you send an email, very helpful). Now, I can sign-in in a new app with TOTALLY DIFFERENT PASSWORD from online and old bdo app. You should inform your customers about this on your site to prevent locking out of accounts when accessing online or make just one password across different platforms.

I tried this one because of the notification in the old app that they will soon replace it with this one. Upon using this new app for the first time, I learned that I have to create a new password for this app and that the old app and BDO website will still use my old password. In short, they are using two separate systems or database for the old app / BDO website and this new app. I don’t want to maintain two separate passwords for my BDO account because your old app prevents pasting passwords from a password manager and this new app entirely blocks us from using a password manager (the only good thing about this new app is that it allows pasting my password from my password manager).

Since this app is already very annoying at the registration part, I will not bother to use it and will just uninstall it. Do not block us from using the old app because that one is still better than this one despite the hundreds of bugs and missing features in that old app. In fact, you should take down this app from the Apple Store and do your QA testing and regression testing first. It is clearly an Alpha version and not even a candidate for a beta release.
