I haven’t been reviewing my receipts from the past but just recently I decided to check the hardcopy receipt from my foodpanda mart order and was surprised that the total amount on my receipt is lower than what I was charged in the app exclusive of the delivery fee. I reported the issue and the support who assisted me kept on saying that the charge on my receipt is correct. S/he wasn’t understanding my concern even if I already sent the photo of the receipt to compare with the prices on the app that I was charged. I also explained it in detail, that only 2 items matched the price on the app and on the receipt, the rest are higher on the app. Then again I ordered my groceries a couple of days later and same thing–hardcopy receipt has lower prices/total. I already compared the total amount including GST(tax) and excluding the delivery fee but the total on the app is still higher. I also use different apps for my grocery shopping like Waltermart and Metromart and they charge me for whatever the total on the app is. But as soon as the actual prices of my order were totalled in the store they refund the excess charge. Now I am thinking all my orders on Foodpanda are overcharged compared to the actual prices from the store and since you don’t refund the excess, knowing that a lot of customers trust you, I can’t imagine the money you are earning from all the customers who are using your service. Very disappointing.

You are cheating on your customers

They added a toggle that automatically refunds to the Panda Pay Balance. I never toggled it, it was on by default. Policy states that if I receive a refund from an order, it can be transferred to my original payment method so no biggie, however, I paid via Gcash and apparently, that's an exemption and we can't transfer the funda back. I reached out to customer service Emily, she kept on mentioning things I already know and have been saying stuff like "thanks for your feedback" when what I need was a resolution and not a therapist who would listen and only listen to me. The ticket was escalated to her supervisor, Kevin, who did not ever understand my issue. He told me he'd call me. I had full signal and he never did. He claims that the call wouldn't go through. Maybe you should pay your phone bill, foodpanda. He ended up giving me instructions which I said is not working immediately at the start of the conversation. He ended the chat when I was still typing and he knew I was not finished. Emily and Kevin, they don't care. Btw, I'm sure that the refund to panda pay balance toggle was never there before because I've always ordered my groceries and items are always out of stock so my funds would always get refunded to my og payment method, gcash. Now I have huge funds stuck to my account that I can't refund. Foodpanda, you had such great customer service in the past, your promos were nice too. Now all I see is just another company drooling for money building unfair policies without a care for their customers. I wish you bad luck.

Ordered food today from Jollibee from this app. I was expecting that the rider is on its way since it says on the app that it was soon arriving. I was speaking to the rider 3 times regarding the address and he didn’t mention that he can’t deliver it to me. 4th call he was impolite and complaining that it’s too far he can’t deliver it. (It’s only 15-20 mins max from the city to my place) So I asked why did the app allowed me to order if my address is beyond their delivery and he told me I pinned an address near the Jollibee store which I did not as far as I remember. I have wrote my address before confirming the order and it was all successful. It didn’t say I cannot order due to this and that. He told me that I should cancel the order cause he is not going to deliver it to me. He made me feel that I was wasting his time by saying that some orders have got delayed to deliver due to the inconvenience I made, well excuse me?! Who’s fault is that now? Anyway, I don’t know if the rider was just too lazy to deliver it or too tired but he was not so courteous at all. But if the case is truly that its beyond their scope of delivery, when a customer enters their address, it should have been automatically unavailable. I was expecting that my orders will be delivered but it did not. Imagine the disappointment I felt of expecting but it was not going to arrive. Hopefully as well the delivery riders of food panda will have manners. This is my first experience ordering food here and it was so unpleasant one. I will not recommend this app.
The worst customer service ever

Better hope nothing ever goes wrong with any of your orders because if you ever have to contact their customer service, be prepared to be incredibly frustrated and annoyed. Some are rude while the rest are not going to bother with understanding your concern. They will just give you templated answers, whether or not it is applicable to what you are reporting doesn’t matter to them. I was in touch with about 5 agents. All of them were bad. The fact that these people don’t seem to be afraid of losing their jobs by being rude, dismissive or just being generally not helpful says a lot about what Food Panda cares about - not about their customers. I was a long time user and was even a Panda Pro subscriber. The first time I to order groceries from this app, i got a lot of incorrect items. I reported it and nothing was done. Just a lot of templated responses asking for screenshots that I’ve already sent. You might think I’m overreacting since it is one transaction out of many but when you realize that this is how they handle things when there are problems, it is best to stay away - especially when there are better alternatives. I highly recommend using Grab instead. Their customer service folks actually read and try to understand your issue and attempt to resolve your concern quickly.
