I like to think Apple adding this app is some sort of Divine Intervention (if you could believe it)

It was January 17th when this app randomly appeared on my phone around 1am EST. I was never really one to have a diary since I grew up in a household that thought personal privacy was some sort of sin.I’m happy to have this app though…it may be a bit simple, but I actually really like it’s simplicity, and was happy to see it even recommended new prompts daily.I’m currently trying to pick up the pieces of me that have broken ever since the start of 2020…it’s 4 years later and I’m in a new chapter of my life, but being able to write down all my thoughts and emotions in this app (with its own privacy settings) has been very wonderful (and definitely cheaper than therapy, lol). Thanks Apple, for this random app to come during a time I didn’t know I was in need of something like this…
incredibly helpful

i decided to use this journal app three days ago (had it in my phone for a year but never used it). it was a relief and a big help for anxious person like i am. pro-tip as a practice to write your heart out when a thought pops up, put it in the control center, use the shortcut feature and add journal as the app. way faster, way more convenient. IT HELPS, THERE’S NO HARM IN TRYING. lots of luck and peace.
The App is Good But Needs a Little More Improvement

I’ve been obsessed with this app ever since it came out with the IOS 17 update but as I was using it, I noticed it’s not that intuitive. The space where you write does not move accordingly once you reached the part where the space meets the feature bar and keyboard, I hope you can fix that. And I do think that having a separate page for the writing page is better (just like how you do it on notes) rather than just an open “tab” you can close by swiping downwards. I think it’ll be more intuitive that way. Also, I hope you can add the feature to view entries as list or as gallery.Lastly, I think the notes app have an overall more warm feel than the journal app.. and I kinda prefer that ambience more. Prompts me to write more.
Update
Someone who loves journaling
So it’s a huge leap that finally Apple decided to make this Journal App an extra for its users. It can now compete with the other journal apps that are on the market though it needs more features like “memories” or “on this day” thingy for us to see what we’ve been writing on the same date as last year or so. Moreover, I hope Apple developers might also include tags. I think I can wait for the next update if Apple can make more features for us. At least for now, I can finally say goodbye to my old journal app.
