My Republic Mobile

Love your brand and the founders am sure you guys are great at customer svc. Your app is good for the services for subscriber . However, I do note that you discriminate existing customer loyalty by availing BETTER rates for NEW customers! In addition, when one is on the phone cannot receive messages as the network toggles to 3G instead which is really a joke in current data heavy needs. I only wished that my Republic use 4G n also migrate to 5G soon! The downgrade while on the phone to 3G does not work in this info age! Anyway, I love that your hotline customer service staff is rather helpful ! They are great and very patient and responsible to assist to resolve issues !

Mobile data connectivity problems

The worst telco I’ve had the misfortune to encounter in more than 20 years of being a mobile customer. First, when I signed up, they demanded a $100 deposit, which no other telco I’ve subscribed to before and since has asked for. And when you terminate their service they don’t return the deposit as claimed. Second, the mobile number porting didn’t go smoothly. Whereas other telcos can successfully port your number in a matter of hours according to the time frame provided, myrepublic left me in limbo for almost three days, when I couldn’t use my number because the old service had been terminated but the new service didn’t have my number ported over yet. Third, when my number was finally ported over I had constant connectivity problems with the mobile data. My phone kept dropping the connection every few seconds; an issue I’ve never encountered with any other telco. Needless to say this resulted in a huge inconvenience. Contacting tech support didn’t resolve the issue. In fact, after a few days, they simply suggested issuing a new eSIM to download. Installing the new eSIM not only didn’t resolve the issue, it made it even worse as there was there totally NO data connection at all. Bravo myrepublic! You’ve truly failed as a telco and as a service provider.

Mobile Network is terrible

Have been using My Republic since sometime last year! Been great but lately for the past 6months it has been giving me lots of issue, I’m unable to connect to the mobile network hence unable to surf net or open up my apps at all, it just froze and sometime it appeared to be 3G. Tried to reach your online chat but didn’t resolve my problem hence decided to call in and it took me abt 20mins before someone attended to me. Staff service is great, very patient in assisting me to reset network setting, shutting off and on etc, to be honest been trying every time it gives me problem, solved awhile and comes again! But still I think the staff deserves a 2stars. Felt so annoyed and frustrated that I finally decided to switch over to another telco that gives me network stability, honestly no point being cheap but yet can’t do the job. Hope you will continue to improve!
