so many things to improve
1. allow users to scan tracked label before dropping off at letterbox. currently, i can't even do that and i need to go singpost to do so , what's the point of i can't pre-scan?
2. allow users to be notified of the status change of EACH package. what's the point of turning on notifications when i don't receive important updates?
Organisational issues are the main problem
All the woes of app is pertinent to the organisation and its staff. Even Aramex Singapore is showing much improvement compared to them. There is no way to find out when postman comes and depending on where you live, they have no system to send to nearest post office when one is not around to receive parcel (Siglap area). Instead they make postmen make multiple trips and its a Russian roulette or hide and seek with them especially if you happen to step out of the home for a while.
I once made request for have article transferred to a post office nearest my place but it was not followed through to the postman who kept coming and i managed to intercept him one evening fortunately at the car park otherwise I would have run the risk of having my item sent back to sender. They assume that everyone works from home; that is now no longer the case except for some.
Next problem that goes beyond their poor app is that recipients like us still don’t know if they havre reverted to post-Covid system of non-contact delivery to requiring one to sign for it (which requires one to be physically present at home all the time).
not efficient and low quality
singpost is too slow these days. I paid $2 to mail some items to someone, yet it was delivered after 5 days. singpost claims to be the best yet the prices are increasing, delivery is slow. and I cannot even buy stamps online which is so frustrating. sometimes I dont have time to go to sam machines or the post office to buy.
I also emailed the helpline about a potential lost mail, but, I only received a reply 3 days later. I didnt bother replying anymore because there’s no point in them replying 3 days later after the seller informed me the mail was returned. after that they kept emailing and pestering me which was annoying.
overall, singpost quality is dropping. slow delivery, increasing rates, no efficiency for customers, and irresponsible helpline desk. would appreciate if these factors are considered.
