Description
ScamShield offers checking, filtering and blocking of scams across SMS, call, Telegram, WhatsApp, and weblinks, for a better way to protect yourself against scams!
ScamShield helps protect you from scams by filtering scam SMSes, and blocking calls from phone numbers used in illegal activities.
The ScamShield app can help you:
- Check for scams:
Enter a suspicious message, link, or phone number to check if it’s a scam. You can also upload a screenshot of a message (received via SMS, WhatsApp, or Telegram) to check if it is likely to be a scam.
- Block and filter scams:
Follow step-by-step instructions to set up your phone to block scam calls and SMSes.
- Submit scam reports:
Include screenshots when submitting scam reports, so it’s easier for the police to take action on them. Your reports help expand our database of scammers, and keep our community safe.
Note: Submitting a scam report on the ScamShield app is not the same filing an official police report. If you have fallen for a scam, please contact the Singapore Police Force directly to file an e-report.

What’s New
Version 4.1.0
ScamShield has been enhanced to offer you better protection against scams. Improvements include:
- Checking for potential scams has been expanded to cover more channels, such as links, and messages received via WhatsApp or Telegram.
- A redesigned home screen to indicate if the app has the permissions it needs to work correctly.
- Better scam reporting, with support to upload screenshots and more intelligent detection of scam types.

Error msg
I wanted to report a scam call. When I clicked submitted and all I get is a error msg, saying “an unknown error occured. Please try again”
This has happened twice on different occasion
How can this app protect us when it is not working well.
Unable to accept non numeric values for scam ID
Scam messages can be sent using email addresses or from other sources to iMessage, SMS or other communication apps. ScamShield “improved” their apps so structured and limits user input that makes it no longer user-friendly nor elderly friendly.
