ScamShield protects you by blocking scam calls, filtering scam SMSes, and letting you check suspicious messages before clicking anything regrettable.
Here’s what ScamShield can do:

- When the authorities mark a number you reported as possibly used by scammers, we’ll send you a push notification. You can also view a history of numbers you reported that have been marked as scam-related.

- Came across a suspicious link, message, or phone number? Paste it in to see if it might be a scam. You can even upload screenshots - works for SMS, WhatsApp, and Telegram too.

- Follow our quick setup guide to block known scam numbers and filter out sketchy messages.

- Help the community by reporting scams - with screenshots if you have them. The more we know, the better we can protect everyone.
Heads up: Submitting a scam report in the app isn't the same as filing an official police report. If you've been scammed, please file an e-report with the Singapore Police Force.

We may occasionally prompt you to refresh the ScamShield app, which helps with performance and security. The prompt to refresh will appear when you open the app, and does not require you to visit the App Store to update to the latest version.

Hotline is useless

I called the hotline because I wanted to report a scam but it was from a number with no caller ID and could not lodge the usual step by step report on scam shield. The person picking up the call was not any help at all. He just talked to me like he was talking to an ignorant person, citing the obvious like ‘next time don’t do it’ and ‘check with your bank’ (which I did before calling scam shield). Scam shield should employ people who can actually track and give information instead of what seems like retirees who just want to pass time and use empty words to appease callers

The helpline is intended to provide guidance on suspected scams, but we understand that this may not have been the support you were hoping for in this situation. Reports involving calls without a caller ID can be more difficult to trace through the app, but we still appreciate users flagging suspicious activity so that we can monitor emerging scam trends.
