poor maintenance of bikes

i wish i could give sgbike ZERO stars but sadly the lowest is one star. What is the use of owning tens of thousands of bikes if most, if not ALL of them are poorly maintained. Some bikes don’t have baskets at the front, peddle broken, front light is gone or broken, handlebar screwed up, in some EXTREME cases the WHOLE SEAT is GONE. Not to mention the bike itself is of low quality, as the brakes are difficult to press and there is no suspension, which means that rides are often very bumpy and uncomfortable.

What worries me is the safety of riding these bikes, especially at night, when the light is broken, and the overall poor quality, exacerbated by poor maintenance. With some areas being poorly lit and pitch black, this means that I am at risk of hitting someone! If that happens, who will take legal responsiblitity??? Will it be me or will it be SGbike??? I do not want to get into the legal technicalities of this scenario, but until i see an improvement in the quality and safety of the bikes, i will not be using SGbike anymore regardless of poor or excellent customer service. In fact, i have found a competitor: Anywheel, that offers better quality rental bikes. I will be using their services from now on and no amount of persuasion from your customer service will change my mind until i see a discernible improvement.

SGbike is undeniably cheap, but i do not mind paying more for a better ride experience and increased safety.

MONTHLY DEDUCTIONS ON MY CARD!

First of all, can I just rate SG BIKE. A ZERO? I mean I rarely use sg bike since early this year and the last time I used was last February since I bought my own bike already. Then suddenly when I checked the app, I realized that you have been deducting my card monthly of $11 since August last year!!!! I cannot believe this! I did not choose any monthly subscription or whatsoever that is why I am very frustrated!! It’s so unfair that you have been taking my hard earned money just like that?!!!!! You better have to do something about this!!! This is not absolutely right!!!!! I am very upset and frustrated! UPDATE! So I e-mail them regarding my issue on deducting money every month from my card. They are not helpful. The only option you will have is to credit the money they deducted from your card on your sg bike account for future use. SERIOUSLY??? FOR FUTURE USE??? YOUR BIKES AREN’T EVEN FIXED PROPERLY AND IT’S VERY HARD TO FIND A NICE BIKE. MOST OF THEM ARE NOT SAFE TO RIDE ON. YOU ARE NOT HELPING AT ALL. SO WHAT AM I GONNA DO? JUST LET YOU HAVE MY MONEY, THAT’S ALL RIGHT?? YOU HAVE BEEN RECEIVING A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT IT BUT THEN YOU ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE THAT’S HOW YOU EARN MONEY IS IT???? BY DEDUCTING MONEY FROM PEOPLE? YOU JUST LET IT SLIDE CAUSE YOU EARN FROM THERE?? OH WELL. WE’LL DEF NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP TO OUR FRIENDS.

bad service

i am writing as am walking home because stupid bike will not unlock. two problems with this app. firstly, it tries so hard to take ur money. the auto renewal is purposely made to be discrete and confusing, so a new user might get charged unknowingly. another hidden detail is how the bike pass states the date of validity while another page states the renewal date. to put it simply, a user would see the date next to their bike pass and assume that the pass ends on that date, whereas the pass actually ends on the day before, hence subtly confusing the user and potentially charging him for another pass eventually. secondly, the bikes are of low quality. despite the fact that riding on a bike feels like riding on a horse, it is also crazy difficult to successfully unlock a bike. maybe it’s just me, but i’ve heard of others online with a similar issue. u literally have one task, which is to make travelling convenient, and u can’t even fulfil that. delete pls L bozo youngboy better in conclusion, this app barely borderline serves its purpose. u are better off without it. pls step up ur game sgbike.
