I just recently moved to NYC and didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for laundry, especially since I’m already on a tight budget. I found Hamperapp after doing some research online, and after noticing the building since I live close by — I couldn’t be happier with taking a chance on something as precious as my clothes. Not only was the pickup and delivery extremely efficient (and surprisingly free!) but my clothes were folded beautifully, the price was actually lower than I was expecting, and the customer service I spoke to about all my questions/concerns was extremely responsive, helpful, and polite. Plus they were even able to accommodate my work schedule since I get home in the evenings. I don’t usually write reviews, so I hope the fact that I’m even writing one for this service conveys how impressed I am by it — I’m only using Hamperapp for my laundry from now on!

Back to back delivery issues

Zero issues with the clothes they was clean and nicely folded. My issues are with TIME MANAGEMENT, this is supposed to help you save time on doing laundry but when you schedule for the pick and delivery and they can’t come within the 2 hour window they give then that’s a problem. First time my clothes was scheduled to be delivered between 8-10am but didn’t get delivered until Noon. That’s two hours over the scheduled time and I had to get up with the company to find out what was going on. I ended up giving them another try thinking it was a one time thing but no once again delivery scheduled for 8-10am and still no delivery as of 1 pm. I again had to reach out to the company to find out what’s going on. This is completely unacceptable for a five hour window of time for the clothes not to be delivered or a SINGLE UPDATE. I will NOT BE using them again and will be demanding a refund because I lost over 7 hours of my time and honestly you can easily do your own laundry within that time frame.

Wanted so hard to like it

We cruise on our sailboat and once in a while, laundry needs more help than we can do on board. We were in need of finding a full service laundry as we have no vehicle and at the boat show we found out about this service from other cruisers. We were thrilled. Setting up the app was fine and easy enough. 2 days later, we get things ready and the pickup happened easily within the selected window of time. I got an email and a text confirming the appointment but neither had any mention of the timeline. Please add the scheduled time. The next day we had appointments set up and car rides scheduled but I had to cancel as at no time was there any communication that the driver was delayed. I waited 30 minutes past the window and called and was told I’d get a call back after the driver was called. I called an hour later asking for status and was told they will be there within the hour, maybe hour and a half. I’ve already cancelled rides and appointments and was charged for cancelling on short notice. This turned into a very expensive experience. The driver finally showed up almost 3 hours late. If we cancel we get charged by this company. I was also charged $5 extra for a bedsheet because it was a zip on fitted sheet. It’s not a couch cover, it’s a queen size bed sheet and it still had the label saying so. Also, they tout themselves as eco-friendly and they use reusable bags but my laundry was delivered in plastic bags. While I loved the convenience of an app, my first experience was not pleasant and I will not be returning.

When I confronted their customer support, expecting a resolution or, at the very least, an explanation, I was met with rude and dismissive behavior. They were completely unprofessional, constantly dodging my inquiries and giving me vague answers that made no logical sense. It was as if they had a rehearsed script to manipulate frustrated customers into giving up.The most distressing part of this whole ordeal is the fact that they haven't returned my clothes. I entrusted Hamperapp with my valuable garments, only to have them vanish into thin air. Their lack of accountability and refusal to take responsibility for their incompetence is truly mind-boggling. It's not just about the monetary value of the clothes; it's the sentimental value and the inconvenience it has caused.The incompetence and unprofessionalism displayed by Hamperapp are beyond unacceptable. Their business practices are unethical, untrustworthy, and leave customers in utter despair. Without a doubt, I strongly advise against utilizing their laundry delivery service.I strongly urge potential customers to consider alternative options that value the customer experience and prioritize the safe handling and timely delivery of clothes. It's a shame that a service that initially appeared promising turned out to be a complete disaster; spare yourself the headache from Hamperapp at all costs.
