Mobile deposit doesn’t work for paper checks.

I have a client who issues emailed checks to pay my invoices. The checks are on PDFs that must be printed. I’m not complaining about having to print them. The problem is that once printed I cannot take a picture of it and deposit it on the app. I have confirmed I can do this with other banking apps (USAA for example). Further, these types of checks cannot be deposit via an ATM either so require actually going into a branch every time. This is particularly problematic during the Coronavirus epidemic. Can the acceptable criteria be changed to accommodate?

This honestly feels like it might be the first banking app ever made and then never updated. I have 6 different bank account apps and this is by far the worst. Horrible functionality. Very limited features. It’s so bad it’s sad. I don’t understand how mechanics bank ever put this app out there. Seriously mechanics, look at other bank apps and just copy them. My 9 year old daughter could build a better app than this.

The app is outdated. Not able to do much but check my balance. I constantly keep getting locked out even after verifying via face recognition im still being ask to verify a security password. I have a buss account and customer service can only help me reset my password mon-fri. I have an appointment this week to change my buss acct. going with bank of america.
